I actually give him credit this year. First off, he doesn't have depth or high rated players. Also, this is a super hard offense to coach a defense for. They have no time to rest. Any defense would be winded.

It’s the opposite problem from the previous regime. A so called defensive expert had a horrible offense. Now we have a so called offensive expert with a horrible defense.

There is a lot to like about this year's defense. Player ability and depth was not one of those things.

Certainly, we need to get better at 3rd and 4th down defense, but given what he had to work with, I think we can give him a mulligan on this year. Next year needs to see some improvement though.

You probably defended Dooley, Butch, sunseri, and Pruitt. If you’re ok with what you’ve seen all year schematically then good for you but those of us with our heads not in the sand are not ok with it.
