You probably defended Dooley, Butch, sunseri, and Pruitt. If you’re ok with what you’ve seen all year schematically then good for you but those of us with our heads not in the sand are not ok with it.

You are in the definite minority with your opinion on scheme. Did you play football or soccer? The calls are correct, the players just aren’t able to execute them. Look at Burrell and Beasley. Both are average players and opposing coaches exploit that. You get a couple of more players where the position can’t be exploited and it’s an entirely different scenario.

I won't say fired but I do question what's going on that Purdue WRs were open pretty much the whole game.
I'm not talking about their WR out ran the coverage...they were open, even enough cushion to catch the ball in the middle of 3 defenders
Purdue's #1 WR was out and the Thompson was hurt yet balled out...

Defend him all you want. Worst third down defense we’ve ever had. Almost 600 yards passing allowed today. It’s inexcusable. The defense will be even worse next season it’ll be our Achilles heel once again.
The DBs were as soft as drug store cotton today and couldn’t cover me. Maybe he is lacking as DC, but you’ve got to admit he doesn’t have much to work with

I can recall numerous times this season we’ve had our poor linebacker lined up man to man on slot receivers just to get Burned that’s scheme

I said it when Pruitt was here the team will reflect what their coaches are maybe there’s some stink leftover from Pruitt I do like Heupel and I do think we can score but I’m terrified defensively especially next year

We definitely need more talent and some impact players. That said, after a full season I’m not sure what Tim Banks brings to the table.

More than likely it’s a zone defense. LB defends an area of the field and the safety defends a separate area of the field. 220 lb LB’s usually don’t play “man to man” on one of the quickest 185 lb guys on the field. Come on man.

Seriously defense has been awful all year worst 3rd Dow defense I’ve ever seen he’s a slightly better Sal Sunseri. Purdue didn’t even have their best receiver today
LOL. He doesn’t have the talent to coach yet. Give it a couple of years and If brand still sucks then you make a decision.

I give him flack sometimes but no one would of done any better with our roster. There's a reason he was getting looked at for HC positions.

As long as 24 and 97 are on the field playing D, we need serious help. Bad. 97 would be lucky to start in the OVC. I thank them for giving their all but we need better. Good Recruiting will solve a lot of our defensive issues.

I mean how many of these adages do you need to hear? Banks’ scheme is good.
Exactly. When you watch this shameful display, you have to know that these guys aren't taught to play and try to tackle this way. This is just the level of player we have in Knoxville right now. 13 is Kamal Hadden. 22 is Jaylen McCollough. #24 is Aaron Beasley.
