Tim Banks is a CHOKE ARTIST.

UGA still out-talents us by quite a lot. We just gave them all they could’ve handled and lost on a game-winning kick. We have multiple injuries on the defense. Calm down, this team will be ok.
AH Ha. The Moral Victor. Tennessee had that game and gave it away. Sorry, but That is the story.

Martinez definitely needs to go and possibly take Banks with him. Heupel also needs his head examined for not moving the ball to the middle of the field and attempting the FG on 3rd down with 7 seconds and TOs left. MOVE THE FREAKING BALL TO THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD ON 3RD DOWN! Would it have made a difference? I believe it would have! He had to push it instead of kicking it straight down the middle!!!
Martinez has done a helluva job.

UGA doesn’t out talent us by a lot. It’s not 2021-2022 anymore. Don’t just look at pass recruiting classes. Look at the actual rosters. We are better at EVERY position on offense than them. If teams like Ole Miss, non Saben Bama, and Notre Dame can beat UGA, we sure as hell should be at home when they have first time road starter at QB. There’s just no excuse for allowing that many points.

Obviously if that FG goes through we’re all ecstatic but I would 100% still be roasting the **** outta of that imposter Tim Banks. I’m done with him. Liability in big games.
I feel you man but, respectfully, don't see it the same way. I didn't see things from a scheme that were alarming. I did see poor tackling and less physicality in the D line vs. last year. The RB is also 250lbs but feel like we were making contact at the line and giving up 2-3 yds vs. no gain or TFL.

I need to re-watch but, and please humor me, here are my takeaways from a scheme standpoint:

1. First big pass was a frosh DB and a well thrown ball. Not sure I would leave him on an island but probably expected a run (so you can absolutely put that on scheme). If our kid makes a play though, who knows....
2. TD on the trips formation to top of field (as I watched on TV). TERRIBLE play by safety. You push everything in but he hung back and just got outrun to the boundary (He needs to press out to in vs. trail in that situation). Other DBs also need to shed a frickin' block. Didn't mind the scheme but would have prefered a press there.
3. TD to 31 (I think).... Again, base look on D but we blew contain and players who should have made a play didn't. Outside contain is a fundamental so need to see why we lost it a few times.
4. Big run in OT.... This one had two keys (and I just re-watched it). They were unbalanced to the defensive Right. Our LBs were shifted to that side. 23 got held, not called. 22 took a bad angle and lost contain.4 did his job taking on the block and forced RB to cut in. Thin margin for error but if Telander pursues inside hip instead of getting caught up in traffic its a minimal to no gainer. The call was find but the players didn't execute.

Anyway, wish we would have won but did not get it done. Certainly blame to go around to both players and coaches but UGA was in the same boat which means we are a good football team again. Love that part of it.

Hope you have a good night my man, take care.

My two big gripes off the top of my head.

1. The drive they had to open the second half was comically bad. Refused to put more than 6 in the box when all they were doing was running it down our throats.
2. UGA was picking up the blitz well. Stop doing it. Mix it up. Last year was way too zone heavy, this year was way too blitz heavy when it wasn’t working.

You have a good night as well.

You are brain dead! The secondary has been the weak link on the D since he arrrived! None of them can turn around and look for the ball in the air or cover when it counts without committing PIs most of the time! UTs secondary is continually scorched when playing vs top tier QBs (top tier passing offenses)!!!

Amazing game by the offense. Joey and the WRs balled out. The run game was solid. 38 points should be enough points to win by 3-4 scores against a pretty mediocre offense. Tim Banks flexes against lesser opponents but in big games he has no idea what he is doing. I don’t know the solution because his body of works says he’s a solid DC. But holy **** I’m sick of his defense looking abysmal against UGA. Mike Bobo isn’t exactly an offensive genius and yet Banks gets schooled every time. It’s beyond stupid. Something has to change. That should of been a beatdown in favor of the Vols. Period.
So stupid a reaction

"Mediocre offense"?

I agree stop a good team without allowing 40 pts for once. There is always an excuse every year. We are young we got people hurt blah blah blah. You got 4 and 5 star players all over the defense. With all this NIL money coming in with Adidas can we go out an pay for a good defensive coordinator damn

Yes, and he left in Ty Redmond the entire game when he couldn't keep up with an old lady in a wheelchair without holding onto her!!!
There’s no DB ever been born that could have defended their 4th qtr TD. That was just a great throw & catch.

They have 30% more blue-chip players than we do. The defense could’ve played better, sure, but they made the plays to give us a chance in the end. Heupel iced his own kicker and the rest is history. We are down what 4-5 starters on DL and DB’s? This defense isn’t lights out, but I’m confident they will improve if they can get healthy.

Wait and see how they do against other SEC teams. Won’t sniff 38.
Honestly, I won't really give a sh*t what there offense does, only if they beat those teams or not. Let's see what their record is as well as ours late in the season. We can revisit this then..

You are a moron! Get off the board if you think Martinez is a great coach. The secondary has been our weak link since he has been here!!!
Martinez has been here what under 2 or 3 different coaches and they are gone and some how he $ucks his way back to this school. His DB's never look back for the ball.

4 of our best defenders were out.
So that’s a factor.
I also don’t see against top competition any evidence that he’s better than average.

Vandy 30-7 over Scar. I'd say that is coaching....

Yeah because missing our top 2 Corners and starting DLineman has zero to do with it. We literally had to start a true FR at DB. Lots of blame to go around
If Heupel was better at the portal we wouldn't be so thin on defense with 2-3 starters out.

Our backups should be bigger than what they are then. That simple
