I’m saying a lot of the people complaining about Tik Tok being re-established by Trump for political gain didn’t seem to care when Biden opened the border when he took office . I find one to be much more egregious than the other and far less reaching. I’m not saying it’s not for political gain, just not sure how one can keep their mouth shut about one and then make remarks about the other.Biden lost the election largely because of the border, so IDK what you're talking about.
I haven't seen anyone "complaining," just accurately pointing out that Trump flip-flopped and his lackeys like Kirk shamelessly did the same thing and/or tried to praise him for itI’m saying a lot of the people complaining about Tik Tok being re-established by Trump for political gain didn’t seem to care when Biden opened the border when he took office . I'm glad Trump "saved" us from his own bad idea. Still gonna make fun of him for it.
Don’t confuse what I’m saying as praise for Trump. It’s not that. Maybe we can all just agree on the hypocritical nature of both sidesI haven't seen anyone "complaining," just accurately pointing out that Trump flip-flopped and his lackeys like Kirk shamelessly did the same thing and/or tried to praise him for it
The only men on TT are creepy men.I’m not on TikTok so I don’t know, but did TikTok ban or suppress posted content that was right of center wrt opposition or information on Covid/vaccine, border situation or other political issues? FB, YouTube and other platforms sure did. Did TT do the same or just let it flow?

Well then people b****ing about Trump’s reversal on TT should also point to the suppression/flagging/removal of conservative/center right political views by other platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, etc as part of the impetus behind Trump’s shift. Essentially, those platforms trying to control information disseminated to their users unwittingly forced this shift. I do think if TT is still going to be allowed here, we should be able to have say so on how it operates. They pretty much just let everything ride except nudity and calls for violence.
It really was a politically neutral platform.

Fair enough. Since I’m not a user, really have no dog in the fightI don't. It's working fine and content isn't moderated based on political or personal beliefs like they were on other platforms.
Again, I go back to control. The US Government can't control it, hence, they want it gone. And that's a bipartisan statement as both sides would take advantage of that.
The beauty of these social media apps is that they only serve you content you interact with. If you want your TikTok/Instagram feed to suck, then comment and share the stuff you hate. People don't understand that they are indirectly in charge of their feeds, and if you only want to see blacksmiths making knives, then don't put a negative comment on a dance trend video. Don't even hate-watch. Just quickly scroll past and they'll stop serving those to you.
I'm pretty sure it's while he was deep in a game of Cards Against Humanity, but I digress.
Difference is, it doesn't have to be an overnight decision. Barron was in his ear about it as well. I'll agree that timing was important if you'll agree that the motives for banklning it weren't as pure as they let on.
