i have to agree with you on this one. '08 with the two guys was pretty funny at times but once they added the chick last year it got kinda painful to listen to.

Especially the putts - I'm blown away by how often they say it's straight in when it is anything but.

It's Kelly Tilghman from the Golf Channel. She's the one that got in trouble for using the word "lynch mob" in some commentary concerning Tiger.

Its funny because i use to complain about the tired old phrases David Faherty and Gary Mccord would use yet now i realize i miss them on the new game..

I still think 05 is my favorite year..

I'm still an amateur. I've played two of the invitational events and achieved one of the milestones to get on the Tour (the 74 or lower average).

I tried to play the other night and my player was only getting about 76% power on a swing. It sucked - couldn't reach the fairway with a lot of drives.

I went to the My Skills section and saw you can ramp up your player with points earned. I got most of the categories to 40% and it made quite a difference. On a 2 round tourney I shot +13 before I made the changes and +1 afterwards.

Still, putting is the only thing I do consistently well.

One way to build points (I kind of stumbled on by mistake) is to use the "All play" swing setting (I think that's what it's called). It shows you the trajectory for your upcoming shot given a club selection and more importantly, it gives you a full 100% swing. It's really cheating but you can build power, accuracy, etc points to apply to your skills.

I will say that my +1 second round was played without this option though.
