I hear you. It’s a reasonably common procedure, but I know she’s worn down. Maybe they can supplement her nutrition while she’s in to help build up her reserves.

Update with a twist. We're not going to mayo clinic, they were going to see her thinking she was coming for surgery. They said she'd have to go to Minnesota for the Drs to give an opinion on the situation. That said, the Cleveland clinic in Florida called, and they're good to see her, and give their opinion about everything. As far as if they think surgery, moving her stoma, is a good idea, and if they have any other ideas about the infections. She has an appointment January 28th, so road trip! Or we might fly, idk yet.

What dates do you plan to be there? Are the girls going? Will Tiffany be staying overnight at the clinic?

Tiffany went to her gastro Dr today, and she made some sense. She was explaining to her about all the trouble and infection, and the Dr gave her opinion. The stoma is made from part of her bowels (not to be gross), and many times there has been fecal matter in her urine. She said it seems to her that her urine backing up at night is causing some of that in her bowels to go into her kidneys, and could explain the infection, especially since it gets so bad. She said moving the stoma to where it'd drain right may just be the answer. Idk, but it's been the best explanation I've heard.

Now let's talk about what we need to do with the anesthesiologist to make sure they know what to do.

Her appointment is January 28th. We'll come the 27th, and likely stay that night after the appointment as well. She won't spend the night at the hospital, but they'll likely do tests, so I'll wait till the next day to leave. We wanted to bring the girls, but they have championship that weekend for swim.

Popped up on my memories today. 3 years ago, and we were hoping this would fix the kidney issues. It's been a mess since, and we've been through a lot. I shared in Facebook, and part of me wishes I could go back and just take her home. Really hoping the Dr in Florida can guide us in the right direction, and she can get some relief. She's a trooper though, toughest person I've ever known.

I love how things work sometimes. I was gonna go to the gym, but decided to just get food and rest today. I ran by ingles, and on the way out ran into an older couple we know. Hadn't seen them in probably 2 years, and they were asking about Tiffany. We just got to talking, I shared what she'd been through, and they were offering to do anything to help if we needed it. I told them prayers, but just talking with them helped me. They're a couple of people who you can absolutely feel God in them while they speak to you. They told me a couple of stories about how God moved in their lives, and prayed for Tiffany. Idk, may sound silly, but it just really lifted me up, and gave me some encouragement

Heard this yesterday, and gosh, it got me. Just the chorus where it says, "in your silent night when you're not alright, lift your eyes and behold him". Just got me thinking about all the nights here, and her in the hospital, and I wasn't alright. The amazing things I saw God do during those dark moments, just hit me in the feels.
