last I checked, they still were not selling Bama tix individually, probably in hopes of avoidingthat situation. Or maybe they just want to gouge them with the mini pack price?None of the listed teams went 4-8 last year. . . actually, they were in the hunt for a NC. People are tired, but we will have a full stadium, hopefully not like 2008 when Bama took the stadium over.
A regime change is one of the reasons why expectations shouldnt be that high IMO. Sure it varies but winning only one game more than the previous coach isnt that big of a deal in the first yearYour equation regarding talent output is irrelevant since their is a regime change. That is one of the gigantic reasons why regimes do change.
You are saying the ceiling is 1 game better than a Butch team. That is absurd.

That was the most embarassing thing I have seen as a Vol fan. I remember walking out at the end of the game thinking it was an Alabubba home game. I scalped $10 tickets for that game.
The 60” flat screen with no traffic or crowds experience at home costs you nothing, that’s why imo
i only go to one game a year, for many of these reasons. and this year, we play in Charlotte, so no travel required. yea me.This combined with one other factor. College football is the only sport I am aware of where the time of the game being played is not known until sometimes as little as 6 days in advance.
How does a guy in Memphis buy season tickets when he is not sure when the Florida or Alabama kickoffs are, if he needs a hotel or not, etc.
Bottom line is that everything has been done to enhance the television viewing experience and to cater to broadcasters. It should be no surprise that with that being the case people are chooising the television over the live experience

another thing to consider is the rest of the football schedule for a given saturday. i'd wager most are like me and likley get their fill of college football every saturday, not just your chose team. so i may stay away from a game on a particular weekend, if it's a big weekend in general for CFB. after all, i've got the mancave that's primed for about 12 straight hours of TV viewing.
I'm slightly upset that I just moved from Raleigh, NC to Boston, MA.... I wanted to go to the Charlotte game.... Stupid job....i only go to one game a year, for many of these reasons. and this year, we play in Charlotte, so no travel required. yea me.

yep. it's rare that you can't see a game you want to anymore. There is no doubt this is true as well. It seemed like a few years ago, you had YOUR game and then other games were broadcast regionally. So ABC would show Oklahoma-Texas, but if you were in Florida you more than likely saw their regional ACC game.....Clemson vs. Georgia Tech as an example. You couldn't see Oklahoma-Texas unless you had some college football TV plan.
Now, that doesn't seem to be the case. I can't remember a game I wanted to see that wasn't available to me. ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, Fox Sports 1, ESPNU, SEC Network, Big 10 Network, ABC, NBC, CBS. It's on somewhere
I wish this game was in Knoxville. I would like to see Tennessee do away with "Neutral Site" games.
Neutral Site games are good for both programs. They are also good for recruitment. Kids love playing in different stadiums. Also, the games usually get extremely hyped up. Which is also a good thing. Hence why the SEC Media Days will now be at our game.
Yeah I mean I don't disagree with that one bit. However, doesn't our football team/athletic department get paid money for these neutral site games? With so many of them, there's only so much hype to go around. I like the different match-ups but I'd still rather have home and home games.

Edit: Kind of like if they made a bowl appearance?
Yes, they get paid a lot of money. I would still rather them play a home and home. Say UT will make $3MM for playing in Charlotte. What would a home game generate? Even if you went to WVU in the future I'd say UT would net somewhere near the same after the home and home.
IMO, bowl games and the neutral site games are very sterile environments. Home and home provides an energy. See UT at Oklahoma and Oklahoma at UT.
