I saw someone wrapping up a very small baby. I thought if this thread. I was afraid to take my 6 year old to the bama game. And here is someone taking babies.

I once did the babysitter thing, too. My wife was upset and said I should have taken her but I knew the baby would like to have her there with him.

That would be a really expensive 20 minutes. I don't think there's any way you could keep a baby that small comfortable during a football game. Who knows what the noise alone would do. Then you have to worry about moving through a crush of people trying to keep the kid safe. Never mind what some drunk might do. My buddy took his 4 year old to a game, they had to leave before the end of the first quarter. And he considered that a success.

Asking for opinions here, which I know could be dangerous...
Considering taking my 3 yr old son up for homecoming against north Texas. He's a fan and I anticipate a peaceful crowd. I'd get serious ear protection for him.
Anyone had success with starting them young?

I don't think you'll need ear protection for N. Texas.

When it comes to takings kids my opinion is that once the decision is made to take them, then the experience has to be about them. If they are not comfortable, not having fun then you leave. My 6 year old has attended quite a few games over the last couple of years. Typically we stay the whole game but a few times we've left at the half. If you have a long walk be prepared to take your time because at 3 you'll be carrying him.

Kids are great. It can be 4th and goal in overtime and mine can tell you where Smokey is...

Babysitter was the best option. I personally didn't go until I was 8. I might have been able to go a year or two before that, but honestly, I wouldn't trade the memory of my first game for anything. Even though it was a tie. Uggh.

There was a little boy about 3 years old sitting in front of me at the Western Carolina game. I was pretty impressed with how well he did.

At that age, my kids would only sit still for snacks. Stocking up at the concession stand would be a good plan.

We took my 2 year old and 6 month old to the BGSU game. We got an extra seat for some more room and it was fine. Admittedly, there is a big difference for BGSU at Nissan Stadium and UGA in Neyland. The 6 month old was happy all day. We did have to take her to the inside for a little bit tho because we were on the east side and the sun was on us. The 2 year old was fine for the first half but never got a nap so by halftime she was pretty grouchy. She does get sad when I tell her we aren't going to the game this week tho. She keeps telling me she wants to go back lol.

Edit: the only time either of them were bothered by noise was when the C5 flew over. Neyland for N. Texas shouldn't be too bad.

Yes took the twin 2 yr olds to WC. They let us take the strollers into the game, they strolled til we got to our section.

I have two boys, age 4 and 6 and they have been to multiple games at Neyland. I wouldn't recommend kids younger than four.

Also, they seem to do better for night games. Last season they did well at the Utah St and Missouri games. I had OK tickets for them but decided not to take them, and that was because I was meeting lots of old college buddies at circle park and there was going to be too much drinking going on.

Everybody has to have a ticket. Take the ticket cost, and give it to a babysitter. Nobody in their right mind would take an infant!

Thanks for not being "that guy". I can't stand to see babies at football games. So freakin stupid.
