Is this the first time the team has played in front of a 2 month old? Sorry, Butch, but I had to; I've still got your back!

Yes they have to have a ticket, (To An Adjoining Seat, not some random ticket) The only thing worse is the person with an infant who wants to argue with an usher about a policy that has been in place for at least 40+ years...

Relax on the parenting advice, guys. It depends on the game and where you sit as well. We took our child to the bowl game at only a few months because the atmosphere was really relaxed. We had no issue and it was a great experience all around. Sat below the pool in the corner in Jax and noise was no issue. The same can happen in Neyland if you're sitting near the top and depending on the game.

I agree.

That's why you take the infant to the North Texas game. Not the Georgia game.

But to the OP, yes, as stated many times prior, your child will need his/her own ticket. All sports at Tennessee, not just football, follow this rule.

Yikes, not only will it be super loud, but 100,000+ people that might have a cold, flu, a virus, etc. Infants have low immune systems. I was nervous taking my son and daughter to the grocery store at that age, can't imagine taking them around thousands lol.

How strict are they with infants having to have a ticket? Seems ridiculous for a 2 month old to have to have her own seat...

Why would you put a baby, yourself, and everyone around you through that? Lot of great places to take babies...college football games are not one of them.

I remember reading about an NFL QB who got turned away at the gate of the Super Bowl for this very reason. This happened a few yrs. back.

We went the babysitter route. Don't know wth I was thinking...thank you all who talked me out of it.

It was a wonderful game to be at.

Good decision. Don't worry in a few short years you can take the little one and it will be a much better experience.

Probably a smart move on your part. Though I have seen lots of infants at games the past few years.

We haven't taken our 16 month old son to a game yet either. No way he sits still for more than 10 minutes.

I took my son when he was 5 to the MTSU (I think) game. Not as loud and plenty of room to move around. He's been to about 6 games total thus far in 4 years. Good call on not taking the little one.
