1. It was clear that it was Kiffins strategy not to win, but rather to keep from being blown out. This was obvious in the 3rd quarter when with 8 minutes left and down 10 points, they were content running for short gains and burning clock.
2. Because Florida is dominating on defense and Tennessee has no quarterback, UF called a conservative game. There were no throws downfield, although some were called, no trick plays or reverses, and a ton of Tebow. They played in safe mode much like last years win.
3. Eric Berry is a hell of a football player.
4. It was almost a blowout. If not for Tebow's fumble at the four, Florida likely would have gone up 30-6, the same score it won by last year.
5. It was much more of an Urban vs Monte game than Urban vs Lane.
6. Tennessee lost by only 10 but the game stats clearly show a UF domination as the Gators had a sizeable edge in every single statistical category across the board- particularly 208 yards rushing and a 4.7 per carry average.
7. Tim Tebow had one of his worst games and was still the most dominating player on the field.
8. This 10 point loss will likely go down as Lane Kiffins greatest coaching victory.
Congrats to the Vol Nation on your empowering 10 point loss. Perhaps soon you can celebrate a meaningful 3 point loss. Best of luck during the rest of the season and be sure to tune in to the BCS title game to see the Gators represent the SEC in Pasadena.
Hey you forgot the new reason that Myer is tauting The Flu..i jsut found this story by ESPN's Chris Lowe.
I have learned that Commisioner Slive has already contacted the Swine Flu , on Behave of Urban Meyer, for causing the poor play by the ALL MIGHTY GATORS. Meyers Addressed having to adjust to the Brash and cocky Swine Flu following the game citing "It is at a panic level of proportion I've never seen before," . I have also learned that a televised apology will come today at 3:30pm est. so that the Virus can apologize in front of the country to the University Of Florida for affecting its players in this weeks game. The virus stated he was just "doing what he does" and that it did not realize that Meyer and the Gators are above illness and are "not to be touched". Analysts are already predicting that Meyer will get Revenge on the the Swine Flu by massacering at least 50-60 pigs during the Gators next PicNic and having BBQ all nite long ,because we all know you dont mess with Urban Meyer, remember Georgia 2008 , although HMMM didnt they have like 15 players lost to season ending injuries last year..Anyway. . On a similar note, i have also learned that do to Spikes ankle problem that the Gators are also investigating the " Injury Bug" to see if he too could be to blame . This is pending but Coach Meyer isnt waiting to take a chance and has already started handing out fly swats , hanging bug zappers and putting up several citronella Candels around the Picnic site to deter the Injury Bugs from coming and to be prepared if they do show. Clearly all this put the Powerhouse Gators and its
coaching staff at a huge disadvantage over the visting Volunteers , and most teams would have cetainly buckled under the pressure, however through the grace of Meyer and Tebow the gators still found a way to overcome and come out on top.
I'm not so sure. Most gators really are that 1) delusional, 2) football IQ stupid, and 3) unable to hearsee, or fathom the gathering storm that is upon them and the rest of the SECI can practically see the nervousness bleeding through the computer screen.
Your mighty Gators are perhaps not so mighty after all.
You wanted, you hoped for, you EXPECTED there to be bloodshed on the field. You wanted Urban calling time outs with seconds to go in the fourth quarter to rub it in. You wanted Lane Kiffin to look embarrassed and befuddled.
You didn't get it. And you didn't get it because you were outcoached and outplayed.
And it's driving you craaaaaaaazy.

Exactly where in NYC do you live? I think nowhere. Also, please quit smoking crack and posting.Obviously you are intellectually challenged when it comes to game analogy.1.
