Thoughts on SC game next week

I think we struggle against both Georgia and Alabama. We’ve grown but we still have a ways to go.
UGA has a good defense but they haven't seen an offense like ours. not close. Arkansas doesn't have any skilled position guys and Clemson doesn't have a QB or the dame talent. We almost always play UGA close and it's at Neyland. I LOVE out chance at Alabama as well just because of the way we played and should have been in the game late agasint UF. Josh will call the right plays

Will this game be close or will the team continue to get better and it be another blowout. What are your thoughts?
I haven't watched them this season, but they're struggling with Troy and struggled with East Carolina. Hopefully they continue to struggle and UT plays as good as they did today.

I think we can take them. If we play mistake-free like today, I think we can win by two or more scores. I doubt we put up 60+ but I could see 35 or 42 points. South Carolina will struggle to get to 20.

Another "must win" for us to remain alive in our quest for bowl eligibility. Just have to hope none of the injuries today were serious. Gotta take advantage of SC at home. The 4 games after SC are gonna be tough for this team.
We will see about Ole Miss. Alabama is really good but Ole Miss looked rough out there.

Not quite sure what to make of Ole Miss. I tend to thing Saban has been stewing over this game for a year and made it a special project. Tend to think they are better than they are showing today.

Explain why you tend to think they're better than the showing today, please.

I mean, they've only played Louisville...Austin Peay...and Tulane. Prior to today.

They've gotten a lot of hype. Corral for the Heisman, top 15 ranking, and so on. But a lot of that is probably just from Kiffin doing what he does: hyping his own team to the media off the record.

What are you seeing that makes you tend to think they're better than this miserable showing today?

I suspect we will be favored by 5.5 to 7.5 going into the game. It will be the first game vs a P5 this year where we aren't the underdog.

I'd probably say that they saw how the game was going and held them out for precaution except for the backup OL. At least for Small most likely. I saw when he came off with a limp shoulder so hopefully it was just a stinger.

I wouldn't predict how close the game might be but South Carolina is worse than the team Tennessee played today. Will be disappointing if they don't carry over the momentum to that game. A win would almost assure them of a bowl game if they can stay healthy enough.

I will bet you any amount of money Tennessee doesn’t keep either game within 20.

We should win comfortably if we’re healthy. We’re a little banged up right now.

Look at the competition today.

Alabama can make anyone look bad.

Yeah, but who made them look good enough that you "tend to think they're better"? Tulane? Austin Peay? Louisville?

What is it you see about Ole Miss (not about Bama, but Ole Miss) that makes you tend to think that way?

Honest question.

I think this next game is big. It will be a chance to show some consistency in execution.

If we come out flat and return to a 100+ yards in penalties type of performance, it’ll be a bit discouraging. Nobody should expect a perfect game, but a higher level of execution like the Mizzou game would a really good sign for the future.
