anyone hear that good ole Mike Golics son was arrested yest. for drinking? wonder if he addressed that on his show

He did. Didn't give a whole lot of details other than that his son was at a party the cops busted up and a lot of the kids went to jail. Said that he'll give more info as it comes.

what did Basilio have to say about Kiffin, hat?
That's he's the kind of guy Tennessee needs and he would crawl to Knoxville to take the job. I agree with the first premise, not sure I buy the second.

I say we just go pay Saben $5 mil a year and bring him to UT. That would give us a great coach, Piss off BAMA and religate them back to where we are now!

I'm in your boat. I don't know how much he knows about the organization... and he might very well just try to see about an OC job in the NFL. I think a lot of teams can sympathize how bad of a situation Oakland is b/c of Al Davis.

I think he would be among the best candidates that are feasible for the HFC job... but we're counting our chickens before they're hatched, sadly.

OK, lot of good thoughts going on out there but here is my two cents.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

1. Will Muschamp (Texas DC). Solid DC who just happened to give urban myer and tebow fits. He has the swagger and attitude we need. Sometimes I think fulmer is about as intimidating as a clawless cub. Muschamp would bring that attitude back into the hill.

2) Brent Venables (Oklahoma DC). Again, solid DC who recruits well and is regarded as one of the best assistant coaches out there.

3) Bud Foster (Virginia Tech DC). Solid DC who brings attitude and is also regarded as one of the best assistant coaches out there.

4) Lane Kiffin (Raiders HC). Young, solid recruited, NFL ties, has the swagger and would not think twice of pissing in Urban's cereal.

These are my top four candidates

Tennessee would be better served to drop football than to hire Bud Foster.

Well, I can tell you one thing....When (not IF but when) the UT coaching job becomes available....We will not have a hard time attracting GOOD head coaching prospects. UT is obviously a well known tradition and You can bet there will be great coaches surface to take the job. If hamilton promotes Clawson....we need to revolt....Clawson to me looks like a QB coach ONLY....A QB coach that is calling plays....I dont see any innovative play designs at all....to me he needs to be demoted to coaching QB's only

Disagree. There have been a number of comments stating that the offense being run is extremely basic due to Crompton's inability to make the right reads. Clawson is not the issue -- at least not yet.

Kiffin strikes me as more of a well-connected BSer than football coach. He is 5-14 as a HC, rumored to not have called the plays in his 2 years as a college OC. What exactly has he accomplished as a coach that makes everyone so high on him? Just not seeing it.
