The Raiders just let him go. Your thoughts? Those looking to get rid of Fulmer, where does he rank on your list of replacements? Is this even worth discussing?
Before you go in shooting the automatic rifle of "OH NO WAY"s, remember what Spurrier and Saban did in the League. Discuss.

Thin resume.

yeah but his thin schedule involves working with the guys who made leinart look like elway, and leading an offense to two consecutive BCS games. I'd like to be there.

Thin resume.
Not nearly as thin as Fulmer's when he was hired.

Fulmer had almost 20 years experience coaching (3 years as OC) when he became HC.

Kiffin has a little more than half that experience and SEEMS to have gotten some of those jobs through his Father's connections.

Little thin resume-wise. Just sayin'.

1 year as an NFL head coach trumps any number of years at outhouse programs like Wichita State and Vanderbilt.

On Mike and Mike they were just talking like he hasn't actually been fired yet. I've been hearing since week 1 that this was going to happen, but has anyone actually confimed he's been let go?

So you would choose Dave Wannstadt's 10 years HC experience in the NFL over Urban Myer's 12 years experience coaching at "outhouse programs" like Illinois State, Colorado State, Bowling Green State, and Utah?

Well, I can tell you one thing....When (not IF but when) the UT coaching job becomes available....We will not have a hard time attracting GOOD head coaching prospects. UT is obviously a well known tradition and You can bet there will be great coaches surface to take the job. If hamilton promotes Clawson....we need to revolt....Clawson to me looks like a QB coach ONLY....A QB coach that is calling plays....I dont see any innovative play designs at all....to me he needs to be demoted to coaching QB's only

He is at the top of my list by default.
My #1 is Bob Stoops. He would be stupid to leave OU for UT and he is the only coach who is making a guaranteed $3m a year. However, guranteee him $4mil and he might listen.
#2 Jon Gruden but economically not going to happen. He makes about $4.5 million a year and is the highest paid professional sports coach in the nation.
Kiffin is #3. He was the recruiting coordinator for the Trojans after Chow left. He pulled Patrick Turner from UT. He has a national recruiting presence and could expand our California connections. Plus, he has as many NFL connections as anybody with his dad's and his own connections.
#4 Jim Grobe. He doesn't appear to be a fluke and does more with nothing than anybody else.
#5 is the Mendenahall guy from BYU. They haven't had a top 50 recruiting class since he's been there I don't believe and still beats up the PAC 10 and MWC with a bunch of no name Mormons.
Darkhorse canidate: Tommy Tuberville. Him and Fulmer have the same agent so it would be difficult. However, Tubs will listen to any offer, and he's ready to get out of bama. He is already been there 10 years so he will retire from the state of alabama now. He could retire from UT and draw double checks for the rest of his life.

There's a better chance one of the VN members will be drawn randomly to coach UT than there is of prying Bob Stoops from Oklahoma.
