Sounds like anti-disco night at Chicago White Sox Comisky Park, July 12, 1979. The field was so damaged by flying records that the second game of the double header was forfeited to Detroit Tigers.

The student section needs to have their discount and seating revoked next time they pull that crap. We just didn't do that kind of stuff they do now. Like a bunch of yard apes.
Sad part was I was sitting about 30 feet from a dad and 6-7 year old kid adjacent to the student section. Dad threw 5 fans the kid threw 2 and the ushers asked me if I saw where and I "helped" a Knox Sheriff Deputy keep an eye out so when he and the kid zinged some more they went over and verbally dressed him down but let them stay. This was after the public service announcement after the lightening delay BTW. If it was up to me he would have been escorted out with his kid and would have been a great lesson for both. WTH are you thinking as a dad teaching a kid this? Stupid stuff as a drunk 21 year old maybe but ....

Glad someone else noticed this. The O Line is horrible, no doubt, but JG has a tendency to exacerbate the problem with the amount of time he’s looking for an open man. Could be that no one is open and this is a WR issue, but I didn’t really notice THAT this game.

Shave 1 second off his available pocket time once we get into SEC... he will be eating that ball again this year.

Yawn.

No one really cares about the antics of the student sections. They’re 20 and trying to have fun at a TN football game which has been harder to do the last 10 years....

I saw one at the snap almost hit Warrior. A fan is not going to hurt him but catching him off guard and diverting his attention at the snap could costs us. Stupid is stupid and those kids do want to have fun but they are not football fans.

But they were football fans.. i mean the ones that were thrown, not the ones throwing them.

Your kidding right? I was at the game and on only one occasion when he was scrambling made that mistake. He hasn’t had any of those problems this year. The hatred some of y’all show towards JG is rediculous. I’m just telling how it is

Guarantano should watch the Packers game last night as to how to make decisions quickly and get the ball out of there with and no chance of getting sacked

they were throwing those personal fans the stadium gave out for the heat because they were upset about the rain delay

upset? isn't there a safe place for these students to go to cry and make the bad thingy go away?

No one cares? So there will not be a global email Monday morning to students about fan behavior? Interesting.

There is a difference between fun and having a lack of class. We just need to let the paying public know if we want to turn college football into the WWE so we can make choices with our entertainment dollars. Some of us have better things to do.

I’m thrilled that our students even show up to our games.
Don’t care if they boo or cuss. At least, they are there.
Our on the field product while they’ve been in school hasn’t endeared participation.

Our student section lacks total class sometimes. I know that they are young and want to have a good time but some things are just ridiculous. I hate them booing other teams coming onto the field. It shows a total lack of respect to other schools and those players who care for their school and team just like we do. We criticize the antics at Florida and Georgia but what is said about us is justified too. And the FU chants are totally classless and embarrassing.

If we are the front porch to the University then someone needs to get the broom out and do a little sweeping from time to time.
Speaking of snowflakes....

I feel the ETSU and UTEP games are like preseason games for Pruitt regarding oline and dline play and will figure out who is doing the best regarding those positions and other positions. Get his evidence on tape to critique to make a better decision who plays going into Florida game and SEC play. I really think he will start and play folks depending on how they do in practice and performing the way he wants them to according to he and his staff's standards. You have to remember he has tape on these guys from last year but heck they under performed and didn't get coached up or developed last year so that is not any help to him or staff. He will get this thing turned around and our team will be improved by year end. It will be a long season but our team will be better next year and beyond as we only lose four seniors that are giving us meaningful minutes at present and the guys coming back next year will be much better this time next year. Go Vols. Regarding the' fans' being thrown Saturday. Do not put them out there. Problem solved.

Hatred? No. Go back to your safe space.

1- The Jon Ward tribute brought tears.

2- Randy Sanders tribute was cool.

3- This OL can be good, right now they arent.

4- So glad ETSU scored that field goal. Made me happy.

5- JG holds onto the ball waaay too long.

6- RB from Memphis is the future of that offense. Running with a lead blocker needs to be our identity.

7- Man the fans up in this section were awesome. Lots of season ticket holders. Quite a depaeture from the last time we went to a game, saw more drunk people than ever.

8- Unbelievable people throwing crap on the field

#3. I hope your correct, but not so sure about this Oline becomming Good
Fingers crossed

If only it were that simple. “Just watch Aaron Rodgers and be like him” You must’ve only watched the 4th quarter last night.

Watching him is a good place to start. Im fact watching that whole game is a good tutorial as to the differences a QBs play can make without taking the lines play into account.

I agree with you partially, but the talent gap (WR and QB) is not comparable. Aaron will always have SOMEONE open it may just be a throw that 90% of college QBs can’t make.

I'm not saying he will have comparable success. I'm just saying that that would be a good tutorial as to how the style of play by the quarterback and change the narrative of the whole team plays.

A little off the subject, but a couple of encouraging signs. The receivers are catching the ball and the throws are accurate. It seem like the last couple of years Tennessee would at least have several drops a game. I think Tennessee can move the ball in the air if our QBs get time to throw.

Tennessee's tailbacks are physical. If given the chance they will run over you.

Also, I think our DBs are going to keep getting better. They look like they have been coached.

I want to see Vol backs run over SEC LB's and DB's before we make statements that they will run over defenders.

The real test will be in 2 weeks, against you know who.
