Thoughts from UGA fan

If you took offense, maybe you’re a little sensitive butthurt. You’re the only person on the thread who read it the way you read it.

I’ve been here for 10 years. I think I’ve earned the right to be considered a CFB/SEC fan.

Would never give you an actual 'like" (that would be VN blasphemy). But right on with this.

1. Mars is in Oppositional alignment with Earth.
2. Black cleats mean slow feets.
3. MAGA: Mountaineers Are Great Again.
4. No turnover trashcan.

Any of these working for ya?

At least they are original and I do appreciate originality.

I think Missouri is a very long shot.

Yup...unless their passing game is way worse than it has been in the past several years, it could get ugly like this past weekend's game. The good news is that our secondary has a solid chance to tighten up and improve between now and then as long as they can stay healthy.

What’s the consensus on Pruitt? I’ve heard positives and negatives. Kirby had a rough first year and he had depth. UT has a decent starting 22, but not much after that.

JG showed up. Showed a lot more poise this game, in spite of the thin O-line. A couple of your RBs were tough. Jordan wants to play tackle football.

D looks porous. Pruitt just doesn’t have his kind of players on the field to execute. Having to throw those young kids in vs an explosive O like WV’s is a tough position to be in.

This is probably going to be a very trying season for the VolNation. But you have to give Pruitt some time to learn the job and implement his system. There’s not a coach in this country that could have taken UT’s players and beat WV last Sat.
I agree with your points. As a Bama fan, I recall the situation at Tuscaloosa when Saban arrived like it was yesterday. The Tide's program had been at a near all-time low for the better part of ten seasons. Saban's first season was full of low points. I traveled to Jacksonville FL to watch Bama play FSU (Bama's 5th game of the season), I don't think I've ever seen an Alabama team play with less energy, or urgency in a loss to a very mediocre FSU team. Bama would lose 5 more times (four in a row at the end of the regular season) that year, including a loss to ULM. I found myself questioning whether or not the Saban hire was a good fit.

See, we are already better than Bama. We have NEVER lost to ULM.

There are 2 opportunities for something like that to happen in the next 2 weeks. Randy Sanders is already thinking upset, so he must be thinking he can score and win on a weak-minded Tennessee team this weekend. I held out hope before last Saturday that our guys would come out with a fire in their bellies, eager to prove they were more than what happened last year. We won't see improvement until Butch's boys are gone

From another Dawg fan, I was a bit surprised that JG beat out Chryst for the starting spot. That being said, first half JG looked pretty good but second half JG was a little bit off. Jordan was a straight beast as was Jennings. OL did good in the run game but not as much in the pass game. The defense shaky in a lot of spots, back seven more than the DL. Alexis Johnson looked pretty quick off the ball.

As others have said, this is going to be a work in progress and will take time. Heck, Butch got five years to figure it out, may take Pruitt more than a game.

Hard to take anything from a Georgia fan based on my experiences. I have yet to see one that wasn't a bit overboard. I live by a UGA grad and he, and his brother, had his flag draping across his door all weekend. Rubbing it in I felt. Also ran into the wackiest fans ever at UT games in Neyland. Empathy hard to buy into. He needs to go back to Georgia.

Take a look at their current roster and incoming recruits. If they don’t win two National Championships in the next few years it will be a total failure. No one in the East will be standing in their way.
They are a total failure... They have this amount of talent every year...

Don't need another UGA fan to come here and start a thread about how much we suck. We already know it Azzhat plus I get enough grief from my BIL, who lives UGA 365 days a year.

You do know everyone can go to 247 and look for themselves to see how untrue this is right? There is a HUGE difference between the last two years talent wise and the last 20. I liked Mark Richt, still pull for him at Miami (although him sticking with Rosier at this point is just mind numbing), but there is no doubt the talent level is WAY above where it has EVER been.

That being said, back to UT, I think they are in the same position USuCk is with Muschimp in that they are led by a defensive coach yet the offense is noticeably ahead of the defense right now.

Dawg, if you'll call USCe USuCk behind their backs on our boards, what do you call Tennessee behind our backs on their board?

Classless. GTFO.

The problem is that we were beaten by 26 points, NOT that we lost. Very disappointing that we couldn't stay within shouting distance. .

To a team with a legit Heisman candidate and a team that should content for the Big 12 Championship.

I like the USC comparison. I can list the players you've had over the last 15 years and you tell me weather or not that's enough talent to win a ship
