Let me first say that I really like Hurd as a back.
I believe however him leaving after this season is a huge mistake. Yes he may beat the it rushing records, however this season he has not put up the numbers and demonstrated his running ability as a dominant back. Even against some of the weaker teams he has not set himself apart as that ultra elite heisman caliber back that he has the potential to be.
Unless he blows out the rest of this season, I think he ( like North) despite incredible talent, hasn't had the opportunity to showcase his ability sufficient enough to attain the draft stock he deserves.
Come back next year with a more mature line and dominate. Then he gets higher draft pick and more money.
I not a pro scout but that is my humble opinion
Shelf life on backs in the NFL are short. They've seen enough from him that he will go high enough. He's gone and I wish him well. He's earned the check he's going to make.
