Those Bashing Dooley

1-8 in the SEC doesn't scream to recruits that you are a winner. If you don't think the recent past matters to recruits, then you don't know anything about how recruiting works this day and age.

Again, I don't need lessons from you on how things work this day and age. If you think Turman or Green was thinking about not playing for UT last night because we lost the game, you show yourself to be clueless.

With fans like ours who needs enemas?
I wonder how many recruits we lose because of bashing that goes on on this site?

I would think anyone who hasn't had a bowel movement in 2-3 days would need an enema, but that's just a guess.

You mean playing behind a line that's built for pass protection?? Yeah, the recruits can't figure out what's going on. It's not like they play football or anything.

Different topic. Don't try to change it and act like you've been saying the same thing the whole time. Of course recruits look at pt, the offense, the scheme and how they would be used. They also saw an average sec rb get over 20 carries and be a shoe tackle away from big gains.

You said they would be swayed by a loss, as you would be. Well, you aren't wired like a recruit and football player, so your opinion of what you would do matters little. Again, that was your stance. You just brought up the OL in this discussion, and you do that kindof thing all the time. You get called out, then you change your story in middiscussion when it doesn't look good for you.

Dammit, I hate you for making me take eric's side, but it's not about losing just last night's game. Losing has become the UT culture and I absolutely think big time recruits look at that. I actually like Dooley as a person, but his coaching isn't getting it done. So the question is, at what point does keeping him do more or less for us than firing him. I don't know, but at some point, if it doesn't turn around, you cut your losses and try a new approach.

Alright, then why does every RB that talks about Bama reference NC's and Heisman winners, if they don't pay attention to anything recent, as insinuated from this post...

Dude, these recruits don't give a flip what happened last year. Some can't even tell you what happened last week.

You are getting your life mixed up with an 18 year old bmoc with a dozen offers that doesn't live each day worried about the Vols.

So, what do you think sways recruits more, recent success, recent failures, or both??

Again, if you guys think that loss swayed recruits, what will be the reasoning when a couple of them sign? That's the discussion here. Last nights loss. If that's so, we won't sign one of those guys, and we wouldn't have signed anyone the last few years.

Sparty, do you believe recruits look at the accumilation of losses under Dooley, because I believe they do? I think a coaches w/l record is an important statistic for them. Lots of factors in recruiting, and I would agree one particular game is unlikely to sway a recruit, but when you look at Dooley's overall record, it is less than stellar.

We will still get 8 to 9 wins book it! Not ideal but there is still hope.. Neyland was incredible last night. It was a shame that we couldn't make the big catch or missed some assignments on D in the 3rd or 4th..we will be alright boys. gah it sucks but still we will find a way.. Go Vols!!

I would assume they would judge a season after its finished, but that's just me.

You would hope so, but we're talking about teenagers. Who understands the logic they use? Kids are crazy...

and they need to stay off my lawn!! Damn hooligans!

There is a much stronger possibility now that we start 0-5 in the SEC, and possibly 0-6, than winning 8-9 games.

They are swayed by everything from coaches, colors, past of the program, future, location, proximity of family, quality of food, quality of hummers dispensed by the local jock chasers, etc etc etc.

They are all different and they are all goofy.

I fixed that haha dang iPad... But nah man I really believe will steal one of the two at UGA or USCe... Then we beat miss st, Mizzou, candy, and Kensucky IMO

Michigan won the Big 10 last year, what does UT have to hang it's hat on from last year?? Very poor example.

And should be better this year.....so what does their beat down say? The Big 10 sucks? Yes it does.....Michigan were the champs.... They still suck and got bent over and crammed by Bama exposing them as pussies....get it?
