You are. Does your life mirror your posts here? My goodness I hope not. That would be a miserable existence.

I actually have a great time every day. Often trying to lift the spirits of the younger people around me that let the pressures of work / life drag them down. (Life is short. Don't waste much time being mad or sad. It's only your time you are wasting)
I am not a Negavol, when the game starts, I guarantee you there is no other fan with more hope to win, regardless of the opponent than me.
It's just when I see the off-season sunshine pumping of the team and way overhyping a player or position, I feel the need to temper that, so the poster doesn't feel so down when it doesn't materialize during the season.
These same posters will be coming unglued when the first loss comes.

We are pretty stacked at WR. Will we have a capable QB to throw them the ball though ?

And will the OL live up to expectations? Will the RB room provide the balance we need? Lots of moving parts. I don't get into recruiting rankings and hype. Saturday's sometimes go funny ways.

Mathews doesn't make tough catches and has way too many drops. Staley is solid, but not great. Jackson will get the other spot and has a long way to go before any NFL scout takes notice.
Other than Squirrel White (had no choice) this staff has never played a freshman any meaningful snaps.

I think Jackson would have gotten more snaps if he had not gotten hurt.

This is not a negative thread. Just cold, hard, honest evaluation. Star gazing by the original poster.

I hope they improve over last year, but not holding my breath or betting hey do.

2. We need 2 clutch receivers. Everybody else has to be serviceable. Throw in a TE that is a legit threat and we can match last year's production. Our QB situation is far more important. Regardless of whoever starts, as long as the receivers trust and have chemistry with that QB, they can produce. I believe that between our two QB's, we can find one worth starting. I'm not going to lose sleep over anything on our offense. Our Defense is going to determine the outcome of the season.
