You haven't got the first clue as to how NFL scouts will view this WR room. If you actually knew any or had any meaningful insight you would know better than to make such an uninformed commentI watch every snap of every game. Unless Keys does something no other freshman WR has done under Heupel, there is no great WR on this team. The NFL scouts will not be drooling over our WR room this fall.
That’s what I’m afraid of. Fortunately we should see a tremendous improvement on defense and a noticeable improvement with the offensive line.
Last year we won games with an explosive pass attack. The year before it was all defensive line and run game. We never know what to expect out of Heupel. He always seems to have UT ready to compete for 10 wins though.
Yes, people are sleeping on these facts. Solid offensive line play with run game emphasis and a potential great WR room including our TE's. Best case scenario for breaking in a young QB.Jackson and Smith are both very talented. And make no mistake Keys will make an impact at some point this year. We are well equipped at WR. Actually with our OL Wide receiver and running game our freshman quarterbacks couldn’t ask for a much better situation to be able develop in. GBO
Top 3-5 in the sec is top 10 in the country? I’d say that’s pretty loadedHe really isn’t wrong. Has anyone really went team by team in the SEC to see where our WR group would rank. We are probably top 3-5 in the conference at WR. Really good but not loaded. Our QB play will also probably hurt there numbers a little this year as well.
tall slender qb from CA who shall not be named was limited, but also challenged w/ sub-par WR and OL. I don't think that will be the case this year. I'd say we lean heavy on RBs early but having guys with ability to win 50/50 balls is a big deal in SEC. I am more worried about our D...cautiously optimistic, but if Knowles + new additions + new S&C guy pans out, we'll have a pretty good year.We are pretty stacked at WR. Will we have a capable QB to throw them the ball though ?
No they don't. They are top 3 too. Never seen someone try so hard to diminish talent. It's almost like you don't want them to do well so you can be right. Whether or not they reach their potential remains to be seen. That has nothing to do with the fact it's a top shelf group talent wiseCam Coleman, Ryan Williams, Mario Craver, Eric Singleton, Ryan Wingo say check again.
This. Hard to imagine how anyone could watch Staley play be like "Meh, he's alright".All these receivers have potential. I agree that Matthews had a lot of drops, but, both him and Staley were in their first year taking meaningful snaps. They’re all young and have potential to be great.
100%. We may not have that 1 guy who nobody in the country can cover, but we've got 6 guys who can execute our offense at a high level and 3 guys who can make plays that average WRs can't.Your pessimism is laughable. We have top 3 WR rooms in the SEC. You're either a troll or really dumb.
Play off! You talking about playoffs! We seem to be pretty far from that goal. I hope we can Win7 games. Now if it’s decided on a 48 team playoff we are in.I love Tennessee football, but the orange glasses and optimism for this team is laughable on this site. We will be lucky to make the playoffs, yet we seem to be loaded at every position here.
