This whole "if we don't land a home run, we should keep Dooley" thing

Which great players are those? The ones winning all these SEC games?

Which Kiffin recruits are left besides Palardy and Bray. Hell, isn't Zack a 5th year senior, Fulmer recruit and Lathers for that matter? Fulmer has more starters than Kiffin on this team.

Tyler Bray
Justin Hunter
Marsalis Teague
Jacques Smith
Ja'Wuan James
Zach Fulton
Corey Miller

Tell me how the team would be without those names

We go 8-5 and he's .500 as an SEC coach who came into a sub .500 situation. And saying that you don't see this team as a team that can go 5-0 against Troy (4-4), Missouri (4-4, 1-4 SEC), Vanderbilt (4-4, 2-3 SEC), and Kentucky (1-8, 0-6 SEC)? Seriously? You're just trying to be as negative as you can be. Any realist looks at our team and sees a 7-5 finish.

We win out, and he's barely above .200 in the SEC. Stop padding his record with cupcakes.

Wait, make up your mind now. You said 8-5. Now it's 7-5. I could easily see Troy, Mizzou, or Vandy taking this UT team off. Could we win them all? Sure we could. We could also lose all 3. Remember last year? If we need to beat UK to get to a bowl game....don't count on it.

What quality teams did Fulmer beat to win those 150 games? what quality coaches did Fulmer prove he can beat on a regular basis?

As the SEC built its dominance, it left Fulmer in the dust. The only good SEC coach from the 90s was Spurrier, and he steamrolled Fulmer. Then people like Saban, Meyer, Miles, and Tuberville came in and exposed him for what he was: a mediocre coach who last saw success 14 years ago.

:lolabove:

Maybe SEC titles? How about a National Championship?

Ok, this fool has lost his dang mind.

Dooley recruits. Especially Hunter. In other words, Fulmer has more contributors on this 2012 team than Kiffin.

And, btw, the team couldn't be any worse than 0 - 5 in the SEC either. Although you have to factor in Chaney's lack of coaching, but we would have won a few more games than we have with Tajh Boyd over Bray.

First of all, I am simply saying finishing out the regular season, even though I assume since we hung with the best of the SEC (except for Alabama), that whoever we play in a middle bowl is someone we should win (I expect them to max out at the level of the NC State team we dismantled).
As for the Kentucky game, I would ask if you were there, but I know the answer. I was. Our passing attack was neutralized by the 20+mph winds swirling in Commonwealth Stadium that day. Kentucky, on the other hand, lucked into a having to run an offense with almost no passing. It was a perfect storm of awful luck that led to the statistical loss that had to happen eventually.

Go ahead and call Justin's mom and ask her why he was coming here. I'll wait. PS...I have talked to her. Soooo yeah. They loved Kiffin and Orgeron and the attitude they brought here. But go ahead and tell me how all these people who were in talks with the Kiffin coaches for a year suddenly decided they wanted Tennessee after he left. That makes perfect sense.

Especially when they were on campus the day before classes as UT students...Please tell me how people who were UT students because of Kiffin were "Dooley recruits" before Dooley was even the coach.

Please, I'd love to see that logic.

So we lost the UK game because Kentucky ran the ball while we just kept throwing it. UK with much less talent. I would say that is on the coaching huh? If all they had to do was let Poole keep running the ball we would have won. Maybe you should have signaled to Dooley you had the answer. Sounds like alot of BS excuses from someone who seeks out alot of BS excuses. Keep looking, I'm sure you can come up with something else. "The sun was in Bray's eyes".

We were forced to either do our bread and butter (air attack), or something we were awful at (ground and pound). We chose to stick with the throw, because that's what we had gameplanned for. It's pure logic.

It's logic that we don't make adjustments?

So the answer is that yes, this team is better. Why can't they be next year with the same staff? Why is that impossible? Please, tell me the future.

TN may be better than last year, but other coaches are improving at a quicker pace so TN is back at square one in terms of wins and losses.

Playing the "I talked to Justin's Mom" card? Wow.

Cajun man says "desparayshun!"

Quick question: why is Justin at UT and not USC?

Boom.

Or, were you trying on your "Stacy's Mom" moves with Justin's mom??

Fountains of Wayne - Stacy's Mom - YouTube

Spurrier, Saban, Richt, Bobby Bowden, Cooper, Donnan, Stallings, Sherrill, Carr, Pasqualoni.

Just a few of the HoFs or future HoFs he beat.

Do tell me, what's his record against them? While you're at it, you can throw in his record against the HoFers that he lost to...you know...for shiggles. Those Osborne games are pretty fun to look back on.

No need to be desperate when it's true. Justin is at UT because he was committed to UT while Lane was still here. The plan was for him to commit to UT on Signing Day, because that was Kiffin's modus operandi. We UT fans like to see big time news made on Signing Day and Kiffin had that set up. The fact of the matter was that Justin stayed committed to Tennessee after Kiffin left, and Dooley went to him and asked him to declare publicly because UT needed the boost going down the stretch. Instead of staying silent until NSD, he went public to show other players that he, along with the other stars in the class, were sticking to their word.

Oh, and if you'd like to refute anything else I said, I'm still waiting.

Or am I right?

I mean...I'm used to it. So it won't shock me.

Fulmer 152-52. 2 losing seasons in 17 years. 98 wins in the SEC.

Dooley 31-39. 1 winning season in 5.5 years. 4 wins in the SEC.

:eek:lol: Dooley is better, I just know it!!:eek:lol:

Remind me what Osborne did to Spurrier? Remind me who beat those NE teams?

Please.

In fact, let's talk about Osborne. A perennial underachiever, who routinely lost his one big game a year, but Lincoln (worst college town in America, btw) held on to him, and he came good at the end.

Without Hambone, Fulmer goes 7 - 6 in 2008 with the worst QB play we have ever seen at UT. JC was just as bad under Kiffin until the lights finally came on for the 5th year senior. 7 - 6 btw would be as good as anything we've had since, and this would have been a bad year under Fulmer, even through the Saban, Spurrier, Meyer + Tebow, Tubberville, Richt SEC years.

Oh, and Kiffin ran off the actual NFL QB on the team. SMH.

Gettin' played.

Fulmer 152-52. 2 losing seasons in 17 years. 98 wins in the SEC.

Dooley 31-39. 2 losing seasons in 2.5 years. 4 wins in the SEC.

I don't want his total win-loss record. I want to know his win-loss record against good coaches with decent teams.
In case you didn't know, he gets annihilated by them.

This crusse dude is gettin' played. He must like the punishment.

In fact, I'm starting to feel like I'm in a Shades of Grey novel. It's getting bad.

Hold on...is that you? Are you trying to drop a GSM? I am just so excited!
PS as that underachiever, he curbstomped Fulmer.

gibbs has returned...It's a grand day. The most idiotic "informed" person I've ever met.

Man I missed his idiocy.

He curbstomped Spurrier on the biggest stage.

He was a perennial underachiever. But Lincoln held the faith (what else could Lincoln do), and he came good.
