Since I apparently didnt make it clear before. I am a UT alum, I hate Georgia, I do not bleed red and black. However, to get rid of Fulmer, I must do so this week. When push comes to shove, some people are forced to things they normally wouldnt do.
PS, hit the gym.
Rumors abound that a big loss to Georgia will finally push Phil out the door. Im really starting to feel that excitement for Tennessee football again! I felt it the entire offseason with the hiring of Clawson and the other new guys...but after the UCLA game it dawned on me that no matter who we brought in or what recruits we had, the one constant was Ole' Phill. Since then, I havent really given a damn, other than hoping we would lose to expedite this inevitable process.
Well, this is the week folks! This could wind up being the most important game to the future health of Tennessee football in the past couple of decades. A big loss to Georgia just may finally give us the cure that we need.
Yeah, it may hurt your feelings to pull for the other team, but for some unknown reason, we Tennessee fans, as a whole, seem to have battered wives syndrome when it comes to Phil Fulmer. He was good to us once upon a time, but now hes not yet we keep begging for more from him. Our Administration has to basically be forced to make a change and thats why it has come to this. I hate Goergia more than many of you could even fathom. I am from North Georgia, my family is mostly Georgia fans and I cant stand the fact that they are very good now, play in big bowl games and matter on the national scene, while we do not. BUT, this week, for the good of our program...I have to say it...GOOOOOOOOOO Dawgs Sic' Em WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!!!!
A massive beatdwon by the Dawgs jusy may usher us out of the reign of Phil and on too much better and brighter days ahead.
who minds being called names by delusional retards of that nature. Why do you care what we think? We are just a bunch of *******:
Volnation.com is nothing but a bunch of pussies - The Football Only Board - Discussion Areas - Outer MonVOLia - Message Board - Yuku

All that is said on these forums is how everyone hates Phillip Fulmer and wants him to be fired. I would not doubt that most of the people writting these things are in college or too young to remember all that Fulmer has done for our program. I will not disagree that he has probably seen his best days and we probably need a change, but you people need to realize that we don't get paid to make those decisions and there are more things involved than just firing a coach that has been here for 16 years. Phillip Fulmer is a good man who has a deep passion for Tennessee Football as do I and without him we would not have the expectaions that we have now for our football program. I would like to see Phil resign not get fired. It is not like we just hired him last year and he isn't doing the job so lets fire him. He has been here a long time providing a lot of good memories for us as vol fans. Also, if there are any of you out there that were a part of the booing that has been going on... Grow Up!! These 18,19 and 20 year olds have worked too hard and are giving a great effort and trying to win. You people need to understand that there is more to life than football and that is too much to put on someone that young. I have season tickets and attend every game (whether we are winning or not) because I love watching Tennessee Football and Neyland Stadium.
The Tennessee Football Program will not stand for the kind of records that Tennessee has been putting up, neither will Fulmer. He will resign when he just can't do it anymore, which is sooner than later because he hates seeing us lose worse that we do. He has to deal with it all day everyday, we get to go to work on Monday and tell everyone have we would have done it eventhough most of you havn't played one snap of football in you life. I would like to see Fulmer step down and become the A.D. and hire Cutcliff as the head coach. I am sure I will catch a lot of flak for this message, but it is the truth and you all know it.

I am sure I will be, but still doesn't mean I will ever root against my team. What kind of fan does that? Sounds like the fans are as mediocre as the fanbase if everyone thought like you. Tennessee could be winless and I would still be flying my flags and cheering them on. I dont think we have much of a chance this week, but that doesn't mean I will not be cheering them on.
WOW you so called UT fans are a joke , no matter how bad it gets why would you post such crap. Be proud of your team , I would say your school but some of you idiots never have seen a classroom. I hope that the Vols kick em in the teeth so that you so called Vol Fans have to whine about something else . Get a life !
