This Weekend Could Seal The Deal

This thread is retarded. The end.
Actually no...sickening to me is that this guys who has wanted us to lose all year will pull for us to win only if we have a new coach. :lame:

I guess it's kinda hard to change from ringing the bell after each UGA victory growing up.

:whistling: :)

Since I apparently didnt make it clear before. I am a UT alum, I hate Georgia, I do not bleed red and black. However, to get rid of Fulmer, I must do so this week. When push comes to shove, some people are forced to things they normally wouldnt do.

PS, hit the gym.

Hey I'm with you. I would never want my team to just lose BUT the situation in Big Orange country is just not that clear. CPF will not be gone as long as fans continue to fill the stadium. The BIG Boosters are personal friends with CPF.

The only thing to get him to step down will be losing and the revenue no longer comes in. The boosters will pull the trigger when the bank account starts falling down unless there is another "federal save the UT Vols" bailout scheme in the works!!!

Rumors abound that a big loss to Georgia will finally push Phil out the door. Im really starting to feel that excitement for Tennessee football again! I felt it the entire offseason with the hiring of Clawson and the other new guys...but after the UCLA game it dawned on me that no matter who we brought in or what recruits we had, the one constant was Ole' Phill. Since then, I havent really given a damn, other than hoping we would lose to expedite this inevitable process.

Well, this is the week folks! This could wind up being the most important game to the future health of Tennessee football in the past couple of decades. A big loss to Georgia just may finally give us the cure that we need.

Yeah, it may hurt your feelings to pull for the other team, but for some unknown reason, we Tennessee fans, as a whole, seem to have battered wives syndrome when it comes to Phil Fulmer. He was good to us once upon a time, but now hes not yet we keep begging for more from him. Our Administration has to basically be forced to make a change and thats why it has come to this. I hate Goergia more than many of you could even fathom. I am from North Georgia, my family is mostly Georgia fans and I cant stand the fact that they are very good now, play in big bowl games and matter on the national scene, while we do not. BUT, this week, for the good of our program...I have to say it...GOOOOOOOOOO Dawgs Sic' Em WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!!!!

A massive beatdwon by the Dawgs jusy may usher us out of the reign of Phil and on too much better and brighter days ahead.

Why do you care what we think? We are just a bunch of *******:

Volnation.com is nothing but a bunch of pussies - The Football Only Board - Discussion Areas - Outer MonVOLia - Message Board - Yuku

I love it when people think they are message board freedom fighters.

Just thought everyone would like to know what ole Two face really thought. I was also kinda curious about why he kept posting on here. No need to get defensive.

I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about DaytonLawVol and his self imposed crusade to educate the masses.

All that is said on these forums is how everyone hates Phillip Fulmer and wants him to be fired. I would not doubt that most of the people writting these things are in college or too young to remember all that Fulmer has done for our program. I will not disagree that he has probably seen his best days and we probably need a change, but you people need to realize that we don't get paid to make those decisions and there are more things involved than just firing a coach that has been here for 16 years. Phillip Fulmer is a good man who has a deep passion for Tennessee Football as do I and without him we would not have the expectaions that we have now for our football program. I would like to see Phil resign not get fired. It is not like we just hired him last year and he isn't doing the job so lets fire him. He has been here a long time providing a lot of good memories for us as vol fans. Also, if there are any of you out there that were a part of the booing that has been going on... Grow Up!! These 18,19 and 20 year olds have worked too hard and are giving a great effort and trying to win. You people need to understand that there is more to life than football and that is too much to put on someone that young. I have season tickets and attend every game (whether we are winning or not) because I love watching Tennessee Football and Neyland Stadium.

The Tennessee Football Program will not stand for the kind of records that Tennessee has been putting up, neither will Fulmer. He will resign when he just can't do it anymore, which is sooner than later because he hates seeing us lose worse that we do. He has to deal with it all day everyday, we get to go to work on Monday and tell everyone have we would have done it eventhough most of you havn't played one snap of football in you life. I would like to see Fulmer step down and become the A.D. and hire Cutcliff as the head coach. I am sure I will catch a lot of flak for this message, but it is the truth and you all know it.

What it is is your opinion. And you are more than welcome to continue to post it here. The flak just comes with the territory. Don't take it personal, and you'll enjoy your stay...

This is about as stupid as it gets. This is like the Obama voters that when interviewed and asked what exactly they think he will change to benefit them... look back with that blank, confused stare.

It MAY be time for CPF to move on. The rest of that story will be told over the next few weeks. But if you really and truly believe that his departure will guarantee "much better and brighter days ahead" then you need serious help.

Very, very few programs have replaced a successful coach under even the best of circumstances and not experienced a drop off. NONE that I know of that lack a high quality, loyal home recruiting base have done so.

I believe that Fulmer should be held to a high standard and be pushed out if he doesn't meet it. (If it were my standard, it would be improvement over last year's results which is almost impossible now.) But the greatest likelihood isn't that UT football will soar to new heights following his departure. Much more likely, his replacement will not be able to produce results better than his and be gone within 3 years. UT will go for a ride on the coaching carousel... and be down for years.

This happened to LSU, Bama, Auburn, UGA, Texas, USC, UW, OSU, OU... and most of those schools have good, loyal recruiting bases.

Before you even say it... OK produces more HS talent than TN AND there are schools in Texas that OU practically owns due to a longstanding pipeline.

Your apparent joy at seeing Fulmer fall will probably be short-lived.

Let me see....yeah I agree with some of your points, however, I will NEVER, and I do mean NEVER cheer against my Vols. And if I went insane, and did do such a thing, it would'nt be against the Bulldogs. I think at this point, Phil is doing a fine job of ruining all the good things he has accomplished at Tn. I will still cheer for my team, regardless of who coaches.

Please no, not that. More of the same.

More of the same of what? 147 wins? Reguardless of what you think he has done a good job here and like I said he does need to step down, but he recruits well so I say keep him in the program.

because associate AD's weigh heavily in recruits' decision making processes?

I cant root against the vols. I can understand why people would want to though. I hate seeing what this program has become. A win vs georgia might let phil keep his job for another year. I dont think a loss to georgia necessarily ends his carrer though. Even with a 6-6 record hamilton and co might decide to let him have another year. So i will just have to hope for the best and for the vols to win.

I am sure I will be, but still doesn't mean I will ever root against my team. What kind of fan does that? Sounds like the fans are as mediocre as the fanbase if everyone thought like you. Tennessee could be winless and I would still be flying my flags and cheering them on. I dont think we have much of a chance this week, but that doesn't mean I will not be cheering them on.

i like you.

WOW you so called UT fans are a joke , no matter how bad it gets why would you post such crap. Be proud of your team , I would say your school but some of you idiots never have seen a classroom. I hope that the Vols kick em in the teeth so that you so called Vol Fans have to whine about something else . Get a life !

Nice first post, you should be proud of that:crazy:
