THIS LOSS IS ON HEAD COACH

Coaches are only as good as the players they have and right now we're lacking. So don't come at me like your something because your nothing more than a sportscenter watching repeat what everyone else says no it all. Watch some football and learn the game before spewing crap out of your mouth and actually come up with your own opinion instead of being a follower
Yes sir.. I’m really glad there are people like you in the world who know everything so you can tell me what I do and do not need to do to wisen up without even knowing me... I really admire that about you.

It's crazy how you can see things so differently at times. Lol. I do agree that the loss is on Pruitt. But kudos to Helton? Jg had almost 30 completions for barely 200 yards. That's 7.5 yards pr catch. That's horrific. Everything is dink and dunk. We attempted like 3 passes longer than 15 yards today. We attempt no passes beyond the line of scrimmage against uga. We never attack down the field. And yet we have maybe the best group WRs (from the perspective of size) that we've ever had. With freshman and sophomores covering them and yet we never attack down the field. I though Helton was terrible.

We have to be able to block it to call it.

Is awful.

JP looked and coached like he was in a fog tonight. This loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. Complete lack of discipline. Going for it on 4th and 7 and failing to give our kids an opportunity. We were way outcoached tonight. This was as bad as it can get for JP tonight. On the other side ofthe coin KUDOS to Helton. What play calling!!!. It was brilliant. He has came a LONG way.
I respectfully disagree

Coach Pruitt actually said it was on him, so yep...you're right about that...not so sure about the rest...:D

GO VOLS!

A few weeks ago, after we beat Auburn I wrote that outside of Vandy, this was probably our best chance for another SEC win but it worried me that even though we matched up well, this game was on the road. I was beset upon by angry sunshine pumpers, but I wasn't being negative, just trying to stay grounded. Now the other side of the emotional spectrum needs to stay grounded. If this game was in Neyland I think we win by a TD, but it was bad luck schedule wise that it was on the road. Unfortunately, we match up more poorly with our two upcoming home games with Mizzou and Kentucky. Vandy is still about a 50/50 proposition even though it's a road game. Overall, though the sky is not falling, this is just the team we have this year, it's not on the coach, and I'm glad they are still fighting despite three 26 point beatings and a 37 point loss to our biggest rival, it takes a lot of guts to keep getting off the deck, this team is taking on the psyche of its head coach, and in the long run, that won't be a bad thing, at all.

You can only do so much with the talent we have. I believe what hurt us most last night was the two penalities our WRs got. SC hadn't done anything until JJ got that stupid penality by putting the ball on the chest of the SC DBs chest while he was on the ground after JJ beat him for a TD. Got a 15 yard penality on it. Muschamps DBs are going to get into your head. You have to let that go, and be smart for your team.

We can't just scrap the down the field attempts because the line isn't good. We are going to give up some sacks sure. But it's our best chance to score points. We have great receivers. We have to use them. And really...you have to have good oline play to run the ball effectively also.

I guess you would have to say Helton did well indeed....I mean, what can you come up with when you are the OC and the QB that makes it go can't throw a pass downfield with any accuratency....JP told us he was trying to get his best players on the field...what happened to that...he left his best QB on the bench and failed his team imo....it was really bad tonight when you put one guy over the team instead of putting the best QB in play....it was obvious from last week that they don't mind letting KC throw the ball down field and play somewhat differently....Yes Helton did his best with his hands tied behind his back....Calloway, Jordan, Chandler, Palmer did about all they could do to win for us....I even thought the O line looked better....
Like I said elsewhere, Helton is working with a limited playbook.

That's a horse$#!+ excuse considering the ball come out just slightly after impact.

Keeping in mind they let a lot of scrums play out for several seconds before blowing the whistle.

They blew the call then blew the review. The reason was just convenient.

Stfo... go look at his schedule. They dont play anybody. If you want to see what his offense does in the sec go look at UK in the late 90's. Those awesome 6 win football teams they had, really lit it up.

Your whining is pointless. Stop acting like a 12yr old girl
well bubba, he’s top ten and we are are? ......

Yeah, but throwing down field generally requires the most lineman to hold their blocks the longest, which makes it about the hardest thing to do when you have a crap line. It also leads to things like your quarterback being blindsided and fumbling and not being able to step into his throws, getting hit as he throws, etc., and that leads to poor passes, interceptions and other "beat yourself" moments. In the run game you can run away from bad blocking somewhat. I liked our screen game last night, that's one way to scheme around bad blocking in the passing game, because it develops fast, you get the ball out fast and a some poor blocking is intentional and advantageous.

You can’t turn a mule into a race horse no matter how good of a horse whisperer you are. So you’re post makes no sense

You can train that mule to stay put and not get false starts and other dumb penalties.

The defense was playing pretty well until uscjr went no huddle and then they could score at will....that is all lack of preparation. Who is in charge of preparation?

It's not "all lack of preparation." The team has no depth. I don't know if the stat is available, but I would really love to see the number of snaps UT's starters are playing as compared to some of the more successful P5 teams. I'm not calling the coach a savior or a genius. I'm not calling him a fool or a poser. But, the team needs more quality players before they are truly be competitive for four quarters, plain and simple.
