That was a bad decision. Should have punted the ball there. Too early in the game to take that risk. Ended up hurting us.I knew the game was over when we went for it on 4th down and didn’t make it. It gave SC a relatively short field, which they took advantage of to quickly get the field goal. I’d rather take my chances of punting and pinning them deep.
So give up an int, on 3rd down is acceptable??? Did you not see the officiating last night we were not going to get a PI! A lot of times you have to take what the defense gives you and they will be covering the deep routes so what is left it the underneath throw, maybe the receiver can make a guy miss and get the 1st down!!Deep ball. Be like a punt if intercepted. Chance of a PI or reception. JG needs to let it rip and stop holding it for to long
In your mind what does a coach get the blame for? You realize no coach of any team ever actually goes out on the field and plays right? Yet some coaches are great... how come? I mean they didn’t go out there and win the game? I’m not saying anything one way or another about Pruitt but this tired rhetoric that some use is getting old.... oh and also I know you think it makes you sound wise..... it doesn’t.No it wasn't, I'm sure you could've done so much better right? How exactly was it his fault? Did he miss tackles? Did he miss assignments? Did he hold the ball too long or get unsportsmanlike penalties? No I didn't think so but it's his fault right? Obviously you don't know what your talking about but think you do so congratulations!
Coaches are only as good as the players they have and right now we're lacking. So don't come at me like your something because your nothing more than a sportscenter watching repeat what everyone else says no it all. Watch some football and learn the game before spewing crap out of your mouth and actually come up with your own opinion instead of being a followerIn your mind what does a coach get the blame for? JP looked and coached like he was in a fog tonight. This loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. Complete lack of discipline. Going for it on 4th and 7 and failing to give our kids an opportunity. We were way outcoached tonight. This was as bad as it can get for JP tonight. On the other side ofthe coin KUDOS to Helton. What play calling!!!. It was brilliant. He has came a LONG way.
This loss was fully, 100% on our pourous, soft defense that allowed SCar to run the ball down its throat all night long and generally move the ball at will. Our offense, behind a qb that completed 70% of his passes, with 2 yds and no turnovers, scored 24 points which would’ve been more than enough had our defense come to play AT ALL. Your take about JG is ignorant, emotional, lowest common denominator stuff.I see no reason we should not have drove down close for a FG and put this in overtime. That job is on the QB... he failed miserable there. Again. And he will again and again.
