THIS LOSS IS ON HEAD COACH

It’s always on the HC. On one hand we competed and should have won the game...we competed...that’s a positive for a building program. But on the other hand everyone so tired of gift wrapping games in the name or moral victories. Mental breakdowns continue to torment us and we aren’t good enough to over come them.

Its not all on the HC. He definitely deserves the lions share of the blame. But so do the players.

Yeaare struggles and frustration over the last decade aren’t his fault. Don’t project.

No it wasn't, I'm sure you could've done so much better right? How exactly was it his fault? Did he miss tackles? Did he miss assignments? Did he hold the ball too long or get unsportsmanlike penalties? No I didn't think so but it's his fault right? Obviously you don't know what your talking about but think you do so congratulations!

Is the head coach not responsible for any and all you listed? Or is he just there to talk a good game about how well the team practiced this week?

It's crazy how you can see things so differently at times. Lol. I do agree that the loss is on Pruitt. But kudos to Helton? Jg had almost 30 completions for barely 200 yards. That's 7.5 yards pr catch. That's horrific. Everything is dink and dunk. We attempted like 3 passes longer than 15 yards today. We attempt no passes beyond the line of scrimmage against uga. We never attack down the field. And yet we have maybe the best group WRs (from the perspective of size) that we've ever had. With freshman and sophomores covering them and yet we never attack down the field. I though Helton was terrible.

Helton only runs verticals or screens. Those are the 2 passing plays he knows. That's it. Tonight was his best game as a OC here but that doesn't make him a good OC. Pruitt's defense got embarrassed all over the field. The entire first team D should leave the program Monday for quitting like they did.

He is the head coach so all that kind of is his fault. Head coach. Running the show. See where it m going here?

JP looked and coached like he was in a fog tonight. This loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. Complete lack of discipline. Going for it on 4th and 7 and failing to give our kids an opportunity. We were way outcoached tonight. This was as bad as it can get for JP tonight. On the other side ofthe coin KUDOS to Helton. What play calling!!!. It was brilliant. He has came a LONG way.

I guess you would have to say Helton did well indeed....I mean, what can you come up with when you are the OC and the QB that makes it go can't throw a pass downfield with any accuratency....JP told us he was trying to get his best players on the field...what happened to that...he left his best QB on the bench and failed his team imo....it was really bad tonight when you put one guy over the team instead of putting the best QB in play....it was obvious from last week that they don't mind letting KC throw the ball down field and play somewhat differently....Yes Helton did his best with his hands tied behind his back....Calloway, Jordan, Chandler, Palmer did about all they could do to win for us....I even thought the O line looked better....

True. But Pruitt deserves blame. He made no adjustments. Offense did its job fine. If the defense would have held up, we win that game by 2-3 TDs.
Sure some of it does but all he can do is call the plays. I seen time and again where LBs and TKjr took awful angles and missed plays.. it's just BS at this point.. they can play excellent defense one game and act like they never seen a football field the next.. I just don't get it

A loss always falls on the head coach. It did when Saban lost to Louisiana-Monroe in his first season at Bama and it did tonight when we lost. But you can't really judge a coach until he has a chance to coach players he recruits for his system.

"Adjustments are over rated".... Butchie

Funny Pruitt says this was a great week of practice... it looked good for 2 quarters... and Musty put the clamps on his game plan. So... Pruitt needed to adjust, I did not see anything that suggested he did.

And... I believe JG is our weakness on the O-side. Tough as an anvil apparently, but not savvy back there when the sheet gets difficult. Have not seen that part of his game.

No I don't, have you ever played football before? Emotions run high and players do stuff they know they shouldn't and have been taught not too, the same as missed tackles and assignments coaching staff can't be out there holding their hands

Our guys were wore out they were out manned clearly which caused them to make mistakes because they were getting blown up and manhandled mostly....man...just wow

Yeah running on 3rd and 27 was very innovative.

Well....it kept JG from standing back there like a statue and taking a sack to get us out of FG range--or throwing an interception.
Running the ball and picking up the yardage helped us and resulted in getting a FG....it was the RIGHT CALL to ensure positive yardage.
