This list makes me laugh more everyday...

I'd say
1 Dan Mullen
2 Mariano Cristobal
3 Jimbo Fisher
4 Jeremy Pruitt
I don't think Jimbo is doing all that great for what he's being paid. He's a NC winning coach and he's probably gonna finish 7-5 this season? Lmao! I'd say Mullen to fla was the best hire and the rest besides Pruitt are flops. Pruitt just needs time (yes, time!). Go ahead and argue with me all day how we gave Butch time, but you can't sit there and tell me you don't see the difference in play and game-day coaching.

I think the jury is still out on Jimbo. His only win of significance to me is the 7OT win over LSU last year. For what they are paying him it will be interesting to see if he can get them over the jump. Right now they are still the 4th best team in SEC West and 6th best team in SEC.

I think Tennessee would beat A&M

For those without head coaching experience, I believe coach Pruitt was the best hire. Within 1.5 years, we are starting to see an upward trajectory. Has he been perfect? Of course not but he does want to do things the "right way." The players are starting to buy in. I think coach needs to reel his emotions in at times; however, the players respond to it. By year 4, I predict we will be playing for the eastern division and by year 5 we will be back in national contention talk once again. For the year to have started like it did, it would have been easy for the players to quit but they didn't. They became more determined. That's a reflection of your coach. I believe coach Pruitt will continue to grow as a head coach and UT football will return to it's rightful place among the elite. Now, a disclaimer, if we get beat by Vandy again, I reserve the right to retract my previous statements. Hell, they better beat Missouri too.

just a few observations from looking at the list:

I'd say they definitely missed on the following (not a complete list): Taggart (5th on the list), Chad Morris (7th on the list)

Moorhead (miss st.) at this point should be lower than 6th

probably too early to tell on Frost, Pruitt, Sumlin, Matt luke, but Frost at this point definitely shouldn't be number 1. I think #1 has to be Mullen

Sonny Dykes (SMU), Cristobal (Oregon), and Herm Edwards (ASU) (rated last (21st)) are doing decently well

In what world was Chad Morris rated higher than Pruitt? Arkansas hired Dooley 2.0 with less of a pedigree.

Morris isn’t Dooley 2.0. Dooley actually won multiple SEC games in his first year and never lost to a G5 team. Morris didn’t win an SEC game in almost 2 years and lost to 4 G5 teams while being blown out by two of them

Mmmm.....maybe 7th best in SEC. The likely third best East team ain't half bad.

How is Cristobal a flop? They are in the top 10 with only loss to Auburn in the last minute.

Hopefully he has learned his lesson that you can't go for it on 4th down so much like you can at Hoover High. If we kick three fg's instead of going for it we beat BYU.

That's one of the reasons Bill Battle was fired from UT back in the day. I can't remember which game (Florida in 1976 maybe) but Battle had the ball 4th and goal at the 7 yard line in the first half and went for the TD and didn't make it. He lost by 2 points. And of course losing to Vandy...

GO VOLS!!!

LOL, no. It took Pruitt 16 games to settle in and start coaching like a HC. Mullen was ready on day 1.

Who will survive the longest? Florida fans will likely get frustrated with losing to UGA and LSU every year and fire Mullen too soon in order to get to the next level.
