You and me both. Butch has been promising Jalen for years now that they're going to run power some, and then he never does. He's frustrated.

Only so long that he's going to keep fighting off 3-4 defenders to get one yard. It gets old.

Just tell him that Scouts aren't stupid. They can see he is a good back with a bad line and suspect scheme

This. Jalen will never shine statistically in this "power spread" crap offense scheme. I would love to see him dump truck people out of the I-formation with good blocking.

What team are some of you watching? Hurd between the tackles is our most often run play. That is smash mouth football. And Hurd is tired from having to carry so much of the load.

There has NEVER been running back who didn't want the ball more. There's never been a WR who didn't want the ball thrown their way more. It's the nature of the beast.

He's gets the ball plenty, and he's not tired of running the ball, he's tired of running the ball and getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage almost every time that he does.

Well, he is going to do it for one more year and then he can be frustrated in the NFL. The Frustration comes from losing. He didn't look to Frustrated last week after the GA game.

I think next year he will have a much improved O-line. I would love to see what both him and AK can do when there is actually holes to run through.

I could see wanting a different scheme but unfortunately, the problems with our ol suggest getting hit behind the line in any scheme. They are improving however, maybe his future is looking brighter than what he's seen so far.

I hope anyways.

I wonder what the roster differences are between Alabama and Arkansas? Or Bama and Ole Miss?

closer because they have more upperclassman and depth...our 2011 and 2012 were disasters for players not working out...2013 is headed that way

You say you don't give opinions, but give us your own personal one

Would TN be better off without Butch Jones?

I really think Butch Jones can be a great coach, got a little to learn and adjust to the SEC. I'm still not sold on this spread so-called zone read offense.

I still cannot understand why we dont line up under center with a FB on short yardage situations.

Dobbs was actually under center when we tried to draw UGA offsides before punting. I'm certain that was their giveaway because under CBJ I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) we have NEVER ran a play with the QB under center.

I hate it. I miss pro-style. You can still have a mobile QB in that type of system that gives people fits. The side to side, behind the LOS throws and hand offs from shotgun on 3rd and 1 are crap.

They did against Bowling Green...and it worked...and they then swiftly forgot about it.

Would going to a power run scheme really stop him from getting hit near the line so often though? Not trying to be a smart aleck, but it just seems like our OL would struggle even more if we tried to line up run over some of the defenses we face.

Who knows. Can you block a man one-on-one better than you can block a zone? It'd be nice to see what would happen though.
