You and me both. Butch has been promising Jalen for years now that they're going to run power some, and then he never does. He's frustrated.
Only so long that he's going to keep fighting off 3-4 defenders to get one yard. It gets old.
There has NEVER been running back who didn't want the ball more. There's never been a WR who didn't want the ball thrown their way more. It's the nature of the beast.

He's gets the ball plenty, and he's not tired of running the ball, he's tired of running the ball and getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage almost every time that he does.

I still cannot understand why we dont line up under center with a FB on short yardage situations.
I really think Butch Jones can be a great coach, got a little to learn and adjust to the SEC. I'm still not sold on this spread so-called zone read offense.
Dobbs was actually under center when we tried to draw UGA offsides before punting. I'm certain that was their giveaway because under CBJ I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) we have NEVER ran a play with the QB under center.

Would going to a power run scheme really stop him from getting hit near the line so often though? Not trying to be a smart aleck, but it just seems like our OL would struggle even more if we tried to line up run over some of the defenses we face.
