Hey hold up, let's be very clear -- this isn't "no matter what" territory. This is "Tennessee lost to Georgia State at HOME and then followed that up by losing to BYU at HOME" territory. That ain't "no matter what" territory.

We could “improve all year” and still not be as good as the teams we are playing.

Also, this implies no other team will improve as the year goes on. Enjoy today’s win, it may be November before we see another one.

And, Kansas, who hired an experienced SEC national championship coach who was available and unemployed when we were needing a coach, just beat the heck out of Boston College and is 2-1, against three wins last year.

Yeah, doesn't mean you're jumping off the Vol train, just because, in many phases, we've had high school level of performance. I get the patience thing, but there's no way we shouldn't be 2-0...which is where everyone's issue is...knowing the schedule coming at us starting next week.

Not only are mattresses burning on VN, on his show las night, Scott Farrell talked about the terrible state of the program and that Pruitt should be fired tonight if we lose to 1 and 1 Chattanooga today. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW IT FEELS TO HEAR IN THE SAME SENTENCE ‘TENNESSEE’ AND ‘CHATTANOOGA’ WITH THE POSSIBILTY WE LOSE! Ugh

Yeah if HB comes in next year and has a TL like freshman year and the rest of team just gets better like a domino effect.
This starting with the player that touches the ball every play on offense, then like Dobbs to Butch people will say HB winning us games despite CJP.. My fear is CJP will shy away of starting a Freshman QB first game and defer to experience ala Saban with Tua till the 3rd or 4rh game at least. .

We get Bituli back this week who was not only our leading tackler but the QB of this defense. Thompson will probably be back by next week. Once Chaney and Pruitt get full rosters of 4&5 star players they will do what they have always done. WIN. Be patient and enjoy the ride. Wins will come but we are going to have to take the lumps as they come. #GOVOLS!

Asking Pruitt to beat SEC teams with this roster is like asking a golfer to win the masters with half of his clubs missing from the bag including the driver and putter. Not impossible, but highly unlikely. Just a matter of time until he's got his roster with his chosen players.

As for Bituli, he's not full go yet. Might get a few snaps, but I doubt he'll play today. Hoping he's back to help stem the UF beatdown next week. Thompson is out until after the UF game. No way they let him play until the hearing is settled. Just a practice player until the UGA game most likely.
