This coaching search in the back of Pruitt's mind...

... I know rumors have been flying in every direction but Trey Wallace and Dan Harralson talked about it in a podcast that the admin (nobody can pinpoint it to a specific person) did in fact derail Pruitt's hire of Freeze. ...

Read this back to yourself until you understand the 100% absurdity of putting a single calorie of emotional energy into this ALLEDGED scenario.

CJP & CPF have done a masterful job at closing leaks in this search. Not a soul outside the situation has a CLUE what's going on. But that doesn't stop the 100% erroneous rumor Mill from churning those clicks day after day.

I hope we don't know crap until an official announcement. That says good planning is happening Enjoy the ride.

Seems like if Pruitt wants to replace Saban, he better start winning. Because right now he would be a couch-burner of a replacement for them.

This is my opinion on what is in the back of Pruitts mind... Recruiting.. And recruiting..

I think he has recruiting as a much higher priority than a OC. He knows he will get a OC.. Heck he has two that can call plays on staff already.. Not saying they are the coaches I was hoping for.. But they could step in..

I think he could be looking to a coach like Kitchens in the NFL and is not in a hurry because the NFL season is almost to a end.. Or could possibly be a college OC that is coaching in a bowl game.. Idk..

So back to recruiting.. He already has a few OC players that are committed and will be EEs.. Two are for the Oline.. Well.. Friend will be their coach.. So no changes.. The QB is solid for 2019 no matter who is hired it seems. The others being recruited know who their RB and WR coach will be.. And pretty much will know what Pruitt wants to do on offense.. So no matter who he brings in.. The recruits will have a idea even without a OC in place what they will be looking forward to at UT. And I'm sure if Pruitt has a NFL guy.. That is all he needs to tell a recruit.

Pruitt has emphasized the need for players to turn this program around.. So I honestly believe thats priority number one right now above hiring a OC to him.

I do think he has interviewed and has some running dialog with potential coordinators for the job.. Just don't think he feels it's a priority while recruiting is hot at this moment.. Just my opinion.. And BTW.. I check the board hourly to see if he has hired someone.. 😂

And people say that Battered Vol Syndrome isnt a real thing. Judging by the OP, it clearly resembles a brain wasting disease. :p

I used to work for a big Bama contributor. He and his rich buddies are down on Pruitt because he came to TN. They say Pruitt burnt his bridge when he took the job here. Did I mention they really hate us. They still blame Fulmer for them being on probation for all those years. I tried to explain to them if they hadn't committed rules violations no one could have got them in trouble. They don't have a problem breaking any NCAA rules. They just don't want anyone pointing the violations to the NCAA. lol Sort of like getting a DUI and blaming Jack Daniels. SMH

Damn. That left a mark.

Our admin is interested in the cash football brings. Period. If 102,455 hit that stadium every gameday (or even anything over 85K or so) and we all keep buying merchandise, I don't think they give a rat's patootie about what is on the field.

Like i said in another post.. The only think I think will ever change it is about 5 years of 3 and 9 and 50k in the stands. Hopefully if Pruitt ever tells UT to pound sand he also puts the Admin on blast when he does it.

If thats true I hope he takes the first available job elsewhere.
If it's true. I won't hold it against him for leaving either. I honestly think I would resign before I had my career destroyed. Nameless, faceless folks deciding not only the fate of UT football, we've witnessed that for over 10 years, but also CJP's future as a HC.

Yeah and i'm starting to think this hire is being kept private until after ESD
I wouldn't be surprised if it's not announced till after bowl games. Really don't expect to hear anything for a few weeks; no info, just reading tea leaves like everyone else.

What would be the purpose to hold out this long? Asking for a friend. Lol
I don't know, I guess any number of reasons. Maybe, they are coaching a bowl game; could this person be coming from the NFL, if so, aren't their contracts up in December? I know at least one of them is coming up. Hopefully it all makes sense at some point. For the life of me, I cannot believe after three weeks, we don't have an oc. I think the decision is made. If not, we're in trouble.

It's just hard to believe that they are able to keep this so secret. Not a peep from no one, and I see your point, thanks

That would be interesting. First, I highly doubt Saban has any interest in leaving Alabama, much less returning to the NFL.

Second, why would Dabo leave the relative ease of the ACC to the meat grinder of the SEC? Yea, bama is his alma mater, but he has a very favorable situation at Clemson. I would be surprised he would leave unless that conference gets a lot more competitive.
Exactly, Dabo is making his legend there. Stadium names and greatest Clemson coach ever. Why would he leave?

Yeah, if true, that probably means Pruitt, Fulmer, Boyd, and the mystery oc are the only ones that know.

This makes absolutely no sense.
