Thinking about entering the fan transfer portal...

I'll always be a vol fan. However, I'm going to have to start investing less. I can't continue to put my whole heart, and money, in to something and watch substandard results year after year. And yes, for me, Georgia State is a turning point. After 10 down years, a large chunk of money was invested in the coaching staff and the facilities are fantastic. Fan support has also been top notch. Amazing to see so many hang in there for so long.

But Saturday, with all the support through some awful times, to watch that team and coaching staff come out flat for the first game of Pruitt's second year is exceptionally telling and, IMO, disrespectful to all those that have poured so much in to this. The team and the coaches just didn't seem to care.
I'm with you on this, I'm still a Vol Fan for all sports. I'm not so much a fan of those running the football program. I will be at the BYU game and probably a couple more, but with curbed enthusiasm. I believe the Lady Vol Basketball program will place higher expectations upon themselves; and I trust in Kelley. I don't worry about Rick Barnes either. After being at the Missouri game last year, and seeing what I saw Saturday, I feel like I want to split my allegiance with another team who cares. I'd never jump on board with a rival or a current trendy team; but maybe some small school striving to be the best. I think I just described Georgia State...but that aint happening. I'll be back to 100% with Vol Football when they decide to Give Their All for Tennessee. It isn't happening now.

Saturday was a slap in the face and it sucks getting slapped! Months and months of anticipation, getting anxious, keeping up with Information about your team, buying gear, telling all your friends that its about to get better........ then SMACK!!

I’m glad this is college and one can transfer. We would be in trouble if this were the pros and we had to get traded.

I’ll always be a Tennessee fan but my get up and go for Tennessee football is in the negative right now. Sounds terrible but they could lose every game and I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep
Look what Auburn did Saturday night with a freshman QB. We have a true DT freshman and these stupid coaches won’t let him play. SMDH. Go with JG and loose to Ga.St.

I’ll be a lot on Pickwick with my boat and a line in the water wearing my Tennessee hat and just hear what the scores are.. too much time wasted on Tennessee football in the fall.. I’ll be at the South Carolina game, will be there for the party and beautiful fall scenery other than that I’m not expecting much anymore...

I also like playing our five star tackle at guard. That made sense.

I’m getting the feeling a lot of fans are ready to give up their Volunteer card (stop caring about TN football). While I certainly understand the frustration, and have had similar feelings myself of late, I can’t help but keep loving my Vols with the hope that one day we’ll again be a good football program.

That said... If you’re a loyal Vol football fan and will continue to be so regardless of how bad things may get, like this post. If you’re ready to say enough is enough, please let me hear why and what it would take to to get back on the Tennessee Football Train.
I care less and less every year. The administration does it, why can't I follow suit.

I’m not going anywhere. Since you no longer care now, when y’all come back don’t be bitter when you are called a fair weather fan.

If you go to a team that's on our schedule this year or next, you'll have to sit out a year.

I’m from the state of Kentucky.

The hell with it, I may just start cheering for the Wildcats.

I live in west TN so if staying home makes you a more loyal fan then I’ve got the best football team in Memphis right down the road from me. And contrary to what people say the city of Memphis IS IN the state of Tennessee
