I'm with you on this, I'm still a Vol Fan for all sports. I'm not so much a fan of those running the football program. I will be at the BYU game and probably a couple more, but with curbed enthusiasm. I believe the Lady Vol Basketball program will place higher expectations upon themselves; and I trust in Kelley. I don't worry about Rick Barnes either. After being at the Missouri game last year, and seeing what I saw Saturday, I feel like I want to split my allegiance with another team who cares. I'd never jump on board with a rival or a current trendy team; but maybe some small school striving to be the best. I think I just described Georgia State...but that aint happening. I'll be back to 100% with Vol Football when they decide to Give Their All for Tennessee. It isn't happening now.I'll always be a vol fan. However, I'm going to have to start investing less. I can't continue to put my whole heart, and money, in to something and watch substandard results year after year. And yes, for me, Georgia State is a turning point. After 10 down years, a large chunk of money was invested in the coaching staff and the facilities are fantastic. Fan support has also been top notch. Amazing to see so many hang in there for so long.
But Saturday, with all the support through some awful times, to watch that team and coaching staff come out flat for the first game of Pruitt's second year is exceptionally telling and, IMO, disrespectful to all those that have poured so much in to this. The team and the coaches just didn't seem to care.
