I'm mad at the design of toilets. Saw a few drops of water around the base of mine, pulled it up to replace the wax ring and found at least a 12" diameter circle of rotten subfloor. And this bathroom has tile. I might be able to patch it but probably will have to tear out the tile to get to the sub floor and....oh brother what a pain. WHY aren't toilets made with about a 3" long extended drain on the bottom to fit down thru the flange, eliminating the need for a wax ring? what am I missing? You'd never have a leak from that spot as long as you didn't crack the extended porcelain drain - would you?:realmad::realmad::realmad:
