Things I'm mad about today

I’m not mad about that, thought I was in the random thread.

I am dumbass.
Though, as a dumbass, you are in good company (the OG dumbass is going fishing off Long Island, maybe you can meet up). Besides, this is the ‘Zone. Straying from thread topics is de rigueur.

Truck battery is shot
Been acting weak, almost didn't start after work. Got it on charge, I'll have to go get one later.

I had to replace the battery on the old van recently. Walmart battery. I found out that if it is still under warranty you get a free replacement BUT the warranty on the new one expires when the old battery warranty would have expired. So my new battery warranty expires in 3 months instead of 2 years. If you just buy new and drop off the old one for the core, you get the full warranty.

Make perfect sense

$250 for a battery for my truck, just crazy. Last time was $200, and didn't last 4 years. I remember when you could get a battery that'd last for years, and much cheaper. I know prices go up, but the quality has hit bottom.

I've yet to have a battery die in a vehicle I've owned

That's pretty amazing
Well for one, I don't keep them long enough 🤣

Since 2020, the wife's Traverse is the longest we've owned a vehicle which we bought in 2022 (has just over 50,000).

The most miles I've put on a vehicle is about 65,000ish miles (that was our Honda Ridgeline). Though I did have a Civic Si that was in that range as well.

That's one way to do it😆

Most battery's are reconditioned now days, unless you buy an AGM or lithium or a new vehicle, they are required to have new battery.

Freaking Walmart. Big storm came through, knocked off power, but they're still checking people out. They ket you stand in line, in the dark, and waited till people got to the register before saying cash only. At least 5 managers up in the aisle directing traffic, and not one would mention that.
