The state of Mississippi sucks. I used to live there a couple of my high school years. There’s a reason it’s voted the worst state in America. Ole Miss being in the playoff still doesn’t take away that LSU is a better job, be realistic.

And Baton Rouge is still a pit hole and Oxford is a nice town.

If the reports are right, he was threatening to poach players and coaches if they didn't. So if true, not exactly as benevolent as it sounds.

Would have been naive for Ole Miss to think they had any agency in that matter. He was always taking whatever players and coaches he wanted regardless of whether he coached them in the playoff.

Well, if we were in the same situation as LSU, I would hope we'd do exactly the same thing. All coaches walk away or are fired sooner or later. The guy can coach. You hold your nose and hire the guy if you can.

He’s a self absorbed a-hole. He’s said he regretted leaving TN and that he never should have. If that was true, he’d have learned from it and stayed at Ole Miss.
