Things getting ugly at Ole Miss

I actually commend Lane for lobbying Ole Miss to stay on to coach through the playoffs. They ultimately decided otherwise so they’ll lose in the first round.

If the reports are right, he was threatening to poach players and coaches if they didn't. So if true, not exactly as benevolent as it sounds.

Well he'll win at LSU. The guy just oozes slimeball though. Heard he told the offensive staff if they weren't on the plane then they didn't have a spot on the staff. If true then Lane is even worse than most think....
Yes, reports of infidelity were a factor in Lane Kiffin's divorce from his wife, Layla Kiffin, in 2016. Rumors of affairs surfaced in late 2015, which was followed by the announcement of their split in early 2016.

Anyone familiar with the Blue Waffle?

Google it... 😆

I would advise anyone not to!

If he leaves and (rightfully) isn't allowed to coach another game for the Rebels, I hope they win it all and his name is totally absent from any of it. And I hope LSU becomes a perennial 6-7 win team because recruits just don't trust the guy.

They likely won't but that would be fitting if they won it all and he's not there.

I also think part of why he wanted to stay to coach them is that very reason.

Are Ole Miss fans all that surprised?
1) The state of Mississippi sucks.
2) LSU and Ole Miss aren’t even in the same stratosphere as far as college football jobs.
Oxford >>>> Baton Rouge

“Baton Rouge has a high crime rate, particularly for violent and property crimes, and is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S. Its violent crime rate is significantly higher than the national average, and it has been ranked among the least safe cities in recent analyses.”

1. Baton Rouge is a pit hole of a city. Oxford is a nice place.
2. Yet Ole Miss is in the playoffs and LSU isn’t.

Not at all. Compare the states as a whole.
When you make $9-$12M you don’t give a **** about the poverty around you, the public schools, the obesity rate etc. Both states are bottom of the barrel in every economic category, still doesn’t change the fact Oxford is an infinitely safer, cleaner, aesthetically more beautiful, higher educated and wealthier city than Baton Rouge.

The state of Mississippi sucks. I used to live there a couple of my high school years. There’s a reason it’s voted the worst state in America. Ole Miss being in the playoff still doesn’t take away that LSU is a better job, be realistic.
