They better lock Josh Huepel up!

No we don’t need to go out and extend him yet. We’ve had a couple of good games. But he made a massive mistake starting the season with Milton (the qb he recruited) instead of allowing a legit qb competition to carry over into the season. Those first few games we should’ve been splitting series with at least a couple of kids until someone started to separate. Of course…hooker would’ve separated from Milton quickly. Milton is literally JG level. Because Milton got all the rep we lost to Pitt and weren’t clicking by the time Florida liked around. but coaches will make mistakes. Eventually it started clicking and it’s really excited. The next 4 games (especially ole miss and ky) will tell us a lot about our team and coach. In conclusion..:I’m really encouraging people compared to where I was a few weeks ago but there’s still a lot of season left.

Typical….. wanting to lock him up when he’s proved nothing of substance.
He’s already proved that he can put an @$$ whooping on the bottom feeders that have given us fits or beaten us for the last several seasons. Players are looking like they are improving. Hell, I haven’t seen defensive backs wrap up and tackle in the open field in years. D-lineman are playing with technique and shedding blocks. Wide receivers are running wide open. RB’s are chewing up defenses. Players appear to be bought in and playing harder than I’ve seen in 7 seasons. He appears to be turning Hooker, into one of the more efficient QB’s in the conference, we’re rolling up points and yards, we’ve already scored more points in half a season than we have in the 2 previous years. Proved nothing of substance?!
He’s proved more in 6 games than 2 of our 3 previous coaches proved in numerous seasons.
I’m not saying he’s the savior yet and I’m not saying throw stupid money at him, but to say Heupel has proven nothing of substance yet is silly.
I’m sorry if this comes across as rude, I’m drunk and very emotional right now, after another good win, because I wasn’t sold on Heupel tbh and so far this has been a pretty damn fun ride!
GBO!!

First time I can remember a coach doing more with less since Kiffin with Compton. The last three coaches would have lost the last two games and talked about building for the future (and rightfully so) with the lack of depth and talent. I’ll take the wins and building for the future. It’s a nice change of pace.

From what I’ve seen so far the guy can coach and develop players. And we don’t even have a full roster. The administration needs to make sure he doesn’t leave.
Sure thing. Let's give him 10M per year and a lifetime contract...after 6 games as coach.

Didn’t you say the same about our last four coaches? Let’s not get carried away here. Hope for the best.
