I, for one, am rally glad that 2020, the year from hell, will be over 11 days. We need to chill out, renew our approach to what we need to do in the future, and take a month off to let things settle down. I will have a nice scotch and let the world go by until I can get my COVID shot. Things will get better, because they can not get much worse unless we continue to try to solve what our University needs to solve. Marry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Overtures were reportedly made...you don't know if they were rebuffed, anymore than you know what the players think of Pruitt. No need to act like you know anything about what happened with Freeze and Auburn. The fact that Auburn didn’t even interview Freeze should tell you all you need to know.
Nobody wants Freeze, not Auburn, not South Carolina, not Vandy.Overtures were reportedly made...you don't know if they were rebuffed, anymore than you know what the players think of Pruitt. No need to act like you know anything about what happened with Freeze and Auburn.
You are free to hold whatever opinion you want to of Freeze, I personally don't care. My comment to you had far more to do with your praise of Mark Stoops.
He might, since he's already making $3million a year, if he was waiting for another opportunity. Yeah, he just might...unless you have concrete information otherwise. Please, are you saying that Freeze wouldn’t take USCjr or AU over staying at Liberty? My wife wouldn’t buy that.
He won’t be successful anyway there is any scrutiny or oversite. Hell, he got in trouble in Mississippi, that’s hard to do. Maybe at Bama he’d make it.He might, since he's already making $3million a year, if he was waiting for another opportunity. Yeah, he just might...unless you have concrete information otherwise.
He's spoken about how it would be difficult to take the Auburn job, because he and Gus are so close. Not everywhere is a good fit. He's on top of the world right now, making good money, and enjoying lots of free positive press. What is his hurry?
I don't know if he'll end up here, or somewhere else this year...but you'd be foolish to think he wouldn't be successful back in the SEC.
I still have faith brother. UT will come to their senses and grovel at Lord Freezes feet. Only then will he agree to restore us to our former glory.

I’ll pray for you.Lord, forgive us Vol Fans, for we have sinned. Cleanse us with hissop, wash us in your precious Blood. Restore us and gird our loins as we humble ourselves at your feet. And Lord, give us a coach who can win at a high level. Build up our program to its former glory and we'll sing your praises this day forward and for ever more.
Amen..
I believe the idiom is, "There's nothing new under the sun."
Love the Scripture reference here OP. Solomon once said:
Ecclesiastes 1: 9
What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.
14 I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.
Last the field was littered with freshman and sophomores at every position. Bailey, Tillman, Baron, To’o To’o, Wideman Hyatt, Calloway, Slaughter, Small, Beckwith, McCollough, Jackson,Crouch.
It occurs to me that I cannot possibly be a fan of the same team as some of the people on this board. Our thoughts on the direction of the program, who to be loyal to, and how to treat fellow Vols is so divergent that it seems impossible we ultimately want the same outcome.
Joking and debating with each other is one thing. Call-out threads for a segment of the fanbase that simply disagrees with you is something totally different. If rubbing peoples noses in how dysfunctional our program is, like a puppy that messed on the new rug, is your thing than we have very little common ground as fans.
Ecc 1:9 KJV The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
I really think Freeze would crash and burn at Tennessee. If we were hiring a coach I think we make a run at Mark Stoops, I think he would be a good fit.
