There goes our strength of schedule

Strength of schedule is absolutely no concern of mine this year. Having a losing record last year and so many question marks coming from that season, I wouldn't mind every team we play being ranking in the triple digits.

I say schedule the mack daddies of college football for non-conference...at least that'll show the rest of the SEC who has the steel set.

In the SEC you cant afford to schedule too many big non-conference games considering your conference schedule unlike the Big Ten, ACC, Pac-10,Big East where over conference schedule is a lot weaker IMO

haha, the Big 10. PSU has some tough out of conference games...

lets see, there is Akron, Syracuse, Temple, and OMG, Eastern Illinois! :eek:hmy::mf_surrender:

What hurts our SOS is that we have 8 home games this year and a few cup cakes but the 8 home games is good for us fans.

For an SEC schedule, Alabama has one of the weakest I have seen. Toughest game will be at Ole Miss, who should be a good team, but still they struck the lottery with that SEC schedule. Good thing NS is really going after those marquee games!

SOS doesn't take in effect until after the season has ended. That's when you look back and say, "Oh, UCLA was actually really good this year." Or, "I'm surprised and glad Alabama sucked that bad."

Kind of like when we were #2 or #3 during preseason in 2005. Turns out we sucked. Yeah.

We need to make sure we actually win these "cake" games. Wyoming was supposed to be one and look what happened.

#118 in the FBS is still better than almost any FCS school. Some SEC teams routinely play two FCS schools. Not worried about SOS... worried about winning.

With a new staff, new systems on O and D, and some players who badly need confidence... I like opening with WKU.

Tennessee's SOS is fine. They got Ole miss, Alabama, and Florida on the road. That is easily the toughest road schedule in the SEC in 2009.
