Looks like the idea should be to chill between the start line and obstacle 1, sprint 1, 2, and 3, chill between 3 and 4...sprint 4, 5, and 6, chill between 6 and 7, sprint from 7 home.
Your plan sounds solid, but I'm thinking more like an 8 minute mile to the first obstacle so I can get ahead of the slow peeps.
I don't know what to expect at all, since I've never run an obstacle race. I need to do a 5k this week near a playground and mix in some monkey bars and stuff just to see how much it takes out of me. Watching the videos, everyone looks painfully slow. But I may be that slow in the middle of a 5k, too. I don't know.
I'm really regretting signing up for Color Me Rad and Warrior Dash... But not as much as I'm gonna be regretting it on August 11th.

You outrun the pack too much, you will catch the VERY slow members of the 2:30 pack. Just saying.
