Hip hop has always been more inclined to move you internally. Rap has always been to fill the clubs or make you kill someone. So it has it's purpose. There are 2 completely different styles. One is about guns, lifestyle, and stature. The other is about the truth. I actually live in the hood now in memphis. About 2 blocks from Frayser. There's a difference between rap and hip hop

I will say this. Lupe's Beautiful Lasers song is deep. I can relate to all of it. And I have heard a live performance of it. He was in a dark place when he wrote it. I have been through all of that. And I'm still standing.
