I did. It’s been years and years though.

I could probably land a small plane if the pilot did the old clutch chest and slump thing, but I sure wouldn’t want to. Take-offs and landings (flying the circuit) were the only part of flying that I really liked. The rest was pretty boring.

My dad is a pilot and has a plane. I was in my early 20's when he got it. After the 2nd or 3rd time up he let me hold the control. I flew for a while and afterwards I told him it seemed silly to have to go to school as long as he had to to get a license.

I appreciate the way he explained it. He said my uncle that's a surgeon told him once that he could teach him (my dad) how to take someone's appendix out in a few hours, but the reason he had to go to school for all those years was to learn what to do if something went wrong.

Honestly I don't know. His first one was a Piper? The wings were low instead of on top. Stood on them to enter the plane. The one he has now is a Cessna, I don't know the model or anything.
