The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Great PPV once again! HBO finally worked about 5 minutes left in the show. So i started from the beginning and watched about an hour and had to go to sleep. just finished it up this morning. I am investing in Fake Blood Inc. before the next PPV.

Bucks vs. FTR was straight Rock n' Roll Express vs. Arn & Tully lol. Great match. Maybe the stiffest match I have ever seen the Bucks in. Great to see the a**hole and the creep back lol.

Brody & Swerve was pretty damn stiff too. I thought it would be a little longer of a match.

I think they missed the ball with Mox & Takeshita. But I guess the plan is for Ospreay to chase Mox now and take the Continental title.

Bayne and Cross were dominant. I wonder what is going to become of Penelope now... Is she still a part of the stable?

The trios match was unexpected. I didn't like the finish, but okay. I don't like random teams just winning titles on their first match together.

I don't think I want Ronda Rousey in AEW. i liked the match and think Shafir deserves this upper tier run. She's finally getting the spotlight so she can showcase her skills, I just don't want Rousey to ruin it.

Yeah, the syringe thing was nasty lol. I was expecting MJF to win, but not sure how they are going to spin the Hangman situation. Does he go back into his angsty drunk persona?

Overall great PPV that answered a lot of questions and created some new ones.

I was too tired to post anything about the show last night after the main event. I read it went 45 minutes. I'm not complaining, but it felt longer.

A good start to the show with the tag belts on the line. A really good match. FTR was Cope and Cage should be interesting.

Can you say Ospreay Ospreay?! Glad to see his return. I loved the video package leading up to him coming out to take out Mox and company. I'm surprised he's already back...He's probably needed to get to the ring rust out before the London PPV.

I don't know if Rousey is going to have a match with Storm or this is just a tie in with her fight with Carano. Would be silly to not capitalize on it.

I dig Andrades gimmick. I could see him in the main event with the right direction and booking.

While I think Bayne should be a singles champ,I think the Twin Towers type team with Kross is going to be a big hit.

I'm interested in who Thekla will wrestle next after this rivalry with Stat. Should be a big name.

All in all a great show and I'm glad that I decided to buy it.

I didn't mind the trios ending. Seems that JetSpeed and Mystico work well together and the trios belts can get passed around more than others imo.

Andrade and Bandido was indeed awesome. It seems like Andrade is more committed this go around.

Not sure what to make of the Hanger situation. Seemed like he may take a break with the way he was carted off. I wonder who challenges MJF next? Swerve and Ospreay are gonna be occupied for a minute. Takeshita maybe? I don't think his blow up with Callis is imminent with Okada losing the trios belt the same night.

I was really impressed with The Dogs. They are really hard hitting. I think they should team up with Swerve.

I really hope Rousey is a one off. She's great in the Octagon. But some MMA stars just don't transfer well to pro wrestling. Give me Shafir or Baszler over Rhonda.

When I saw this on Facebook, I jumped at the opportunity to attend it. It's rare that Asheville gets shows like this. I need to get the tickets ASAP. I'm sure FTR will have a match.
Pretty sure I saw Weird Al at thay arena. Shouldn't be a bad seat in the house.

I found the end of Raw pretty funny, given all the back and forth between Reigns and Punk the thing that set Punk off was saying he's old; especially since Punk isn't really THAT much older than Reigns.

Reigns: "YOU'RE OLD!"

Yeah,Reigns being honest about his age is what finally pushes Punk over the edge. It was a bit odd to me.

Just re-watched the 21-man battle royale from Revolution Zero Hour. I was working when it was on the first time so didn't really pay much attention to it.

Johnny TV looks weird bald.

I am digging Lio Rush's new gimmick. He looks like he has put on about 15 pounds of muscle too. Hopefully he gets away from Mr. No Charisma Action Andretti and those stupid jackets.

The crowd was solidly behind Dalton Castle and Rush it seemed. More Rush please!!!

And why was Daniel Garcia helping Ricochet???

Surprised Ace Austin went as far as he did.

That was fun.

He chloroformed him and put him in a straitjacket too!! Kidd is as crazy as Darby. Those two are made for each other lol!
The amazing part is I was sort of serious. A car crash is pretty tame compared to some of the stuff Darby has done.

You're dead on about Gabe Kidd. They're peas in a pod.

Hot take/Hill I'll die on: Darby belongs on Jackass, not wrestling. He brings little to the ring, nothing to the mic... he's a stuntman. I guess that's ok, but why on earth would anyone put a top belt on that guy? Relative to his position on the card, he's by far my least favorite performer in AEW or WWE.

He's one of my favorite

I could say something similar about Logan Paul. There's no accounting for taste.

I felt the same way about him when I first saw him in AEW many years ago. Yeah, he is a stuntman. But he is a lot more than that. He CAN wrestle. And pretty well I might add. He just loves this style. Will he ever hold the World Championship? I don't know, but I would never say that guy can't do something. He climbed Everest and wrestled 2 weeks later if I remember correctly. Don't know anybody else that could do that. His mic work got a lot better after Sting took him under his wing. Still not the best, but hell Roman Reigns is garbage on the mic unless they have specifically written lines for him.

Lol, i like Logan Paul, he's very good for just getting into the business.
He's athletically gifted. But every time I watch him I feel like I'm watching a tribute band instead of an actual band.

But I'm biased. In every generation there is one guy I just can't abide. In this generation it's him.
