The WRASSLIN’ Thread

You are exactly right. Something has been different. Tonight felt like a classic WCW show.

Swerve and Ricochet was off the chain. Did not expect that finish, but I think it's a good thing
Ricochet really works in that weasel heel role. I wouldn't have called it, but he is eating it up.

Toni was bonkers tonight too. Her character work is just unreal.

Toni Storm as Mariah May is a draw!! I haven't watched AEW much lately, but it sounds like it has some bright spots im missing.

Cedric Alexander has been released by WWE

The former Elias now Elijah signed with ROH and is now a member of The Righteous

Bear Boulder has been fired by AEW after being arrested for strangling his girlfriend/wife
Cedric will likely land on his feet somewhere. Dude is super talented.

I would think Elias/Elijah could do better than ROH. He seems like he's tailor made for TNA. Maybe they couldn't come to terms on $? TNA doesn't seem to be in a spending mood.

AOP have washed out of WWE twice now. Not sure where they land.

Hurt Syndicate is awesome.

The Gunns got a huge pop. The BCG officially got them over. Plus the entrance is fire.

Timeless acting as whoever she’s feuding with should be a permanent element of her gimmick. Hilarious.

Ricochet v Swerve at presumably Revolution will be unhinged.

Loving the slow build to MJF v Hangman.

I’ve enjoyed Harley since the QTV days. Great worker.

I’ll say it, I do not hate the Jericho gimmick.

AEW could use more female talent. Her and Davenport/Priestly wouldn't be too shabby.
With how they book the women's division, they already have plenty of talent that disappears for months at a time. Division needs more booking than talent IMO.

Really?Of course I haven't kept up with AEW much lately, but I know that is Tony's weak spot last I heard is booking of women . Outside of the title picture and Toni Storm, it sounds like they have a lot of work to do on that division.

Toni and Harley are the high spots and Monè can carry whatever match she's in. It feels like he doesn't know what to do with Willow, Stat, Britt, Deonna, Julia, Skye, Aminada, Thunder, ect. I'd say they need a women's tag belt but there are to many belts already.

Dawn is another one I feel like is taylor made for TNA. Maybe team her with Rosemary?

Collision was great! I tell ya, the intro song makes all the difference. Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting cranking though the speakers just makes it feel like a big event every week. So much better than the generic intro song they were using for a while. I love Mikey Ruckus, but some of the music/wrestler intros have felt very bland, generic and repetitive lately.

Awesome show highlighted by none other than Harley and Mone. Harley has done some of the best character work in the last year of anybody not named Toni Storm. Great segment and built huge heat on Mone. Harley is going to be a huge baby-face after her loss at Grand Slam

Everything else was solid... Except Adam Cole. I just can't buy him anymore. Fantastic entrance, one of the best and he seems like a genuinely good guy. But I just can't suspend disbelief anymore for a guy that looks like he should be working at Burger King.

Absolutely LOVED Penelope vs Rosa. That was great stuff. Just wish Penelope would get a push.

Can Dustin Rhodes cut a promo or what? I feel like they pulled Jarrett from the MJF angle and inserted Dustin into it. But I'm okay with it

Bryan Keith vs. Bandido was an incredible banger. Keith keeps amazing me with how versatile he is.

It's been a long day and I'm sleepy. Going to watch Briscoe and Fletcher in the morning

Fair but I think AEW has some very underrated female talent. Just needs booked better to thrive.
