The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Looks like Penta had a good WWE debut. I expect he'll be successful there. He is definitely a showman and his shtick tends to get over. Not sure Rey Fenix will fair as well when he eventually gets there. Fenix is amazing between the ropes but Penta just has more personality.

Yeah,it was a good match and way to showcase his abilities. There's new opponents for him. I can already see him against Rey and Dragon Lee.

If there is one Luchadore that can have success in the states near the level of Rey Mysterio, I believe it's Penta. He's a "scene" stealer to borrow a phrase.

Good Dynamite tonight. Not sure a total rookie like Toni Storm is ready for a title shot.
I enjoyed it. I felt like the match could have been a little longer. I also started thinking that, what if they do the same type of thing as Mariah and Toni, just flip it? Mariah takes Toni "under her wing" so to speak and they pretty much live out the events of the last year or two with roles reversed haha. That would be something.

Loved the Omega/Cage match. Even the ending was good. It got kind of awkward with Kenny and Will just lying in the ring staring into each others eyes for like 5 minutes lol.

I really wish they would let Christian move on from the Hook storyline. It drags and Hook has regressed. He is not good. The best part of that match was when Joe returned.

The trios match went as expected. No surprise. Was good to see MVP back in the ring though.

The main event was very good. Big statement made.

Was it just me or was that crowd loud? I don't know if it was the switch from big arenas to smaller venues, but crowds have sounded louder the last couple of weeks.

Also, it sounds like Malakai is headed back to WWE.

Not sure what's up with Hook. I feel line he needs a change of scenery.

Been seeing a lot of speculation about Malakai for a while now. Seems like it's time he moved on.

I like your idea about Toni. I wonder if she'll revert to "Outcasts" Toni at some point? Maybe with Ruby and Harley?

I'm not surprised at this at all. Once D'amore was let go and they started the crossover with NXT,it was only a matter of time. Interested in seeing where this goes.
I'd love to see the full picture on what kind of bump TNA is getting from this partnership. It's not in traditional TV ratings or TV PPV buys. The partnership with AEW helped more with AXS TV ratings.

But they seem focused on TNA+ and we don't really get to see weekly ratings there. PPV buys went way up during both partnerships on that platform (it's where the vast majority of their buys are anyway). Which is probably what they're after. But, I'd love to see the numbers for Impact week to week online.

It's getting harder to judge how big a promotion's audience really is with everything moving to streaming. Nobody reports those numbers.
