The WRASSLIN’ Thread

The guys today are just as skilled but they feel real generic. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are incredibly talented but the next drop of charisma they have will be the first...
I don't think you can put that all on the talent. It's a different industry now. Flair, Austin, the Rock all had the chance to sell themselves. Everything is too scripted now.

You could be right.

I just know I loved watching wrestling as a kid in the 80s and even in the 90s and early 2000s after I knew it was real. It felt somewhat like a circus and everything was bigger than life. It just lost that circus feeling.

Best of 7 series is gonna be awesome.

The MJF reign is gonna be entertaining. I’m guessing we see Hangman or Danielson as the first feud after the WiC match.

I just got around to Full Gear tonight. November has been a @#$^show at my house. Been avoiding this thread for days.

First 2 matches were great. Heck of a cage match and I didn't see the end of the trios match coming. Best of 7 with Lucha Bros and The Elite? Yes please.

The ladies did well I thought. The title marches ended the way the should have. Not sure how I feel about Saraya. I found myself pulling for Britt.

Wouldn't have called the TV/TBS title match. That was the last thing I expected. Butt hey, I'm a total mark for the guy who went over

Sting/Darby vs Lethal/JJ was as good as I've come to expect from Sting/ Darby matches. Amazing Sting can preform at the level he does at his age. It was wild to here a TNA chant at Full Gear. The guy on the right in the Sting mask, coming out with Jarrett, was either Low Ki or someone trying really hard to imitate his signature walk. I'm guessing the latter since they didn't stay out long

I don't usually mind false finishes, but I thought the tag title match went over board with them. Still, the looking forward to Swerve vs Lee.

The main event was a great match. The end was the one I wanted and didn't think I'd get. All and all I think AEW did a good job turning the page tonight.

Yes!

Saraya looked quite rusty. Britt carried that match.

Did not Expect Joe to walk out with both belts, but I'm not mad at all. This might set up for Hobbs to take one of them and Wardlow to take the other?

Yes! The TNA chant was fantastic! Jarrett was as good as ever and he and Sting have such great chemistry. Seeing Sting do these moonsaults and jumps from balconies is just crazy at his age haha. But he says he loves it.

Agreed. Getting tired of seeing people kicking out of 3 or 4 finishing maneuvers.

Yes! Main event was really good. A couple of botches by MJF that Moxley was able to cover up pretty well. The Regal flip was done masterfully. I can't wait for the fallout tonight.

Interested to see the direction everything goes. I imagine we’ll see a continued strong RoH presence with Final Battle around the corner.

Who do you match up with the Acclaimed? You can’t go with FTR, at least not yet.

They'll probably have some kind of tournament for it. They love a tournament

Mox really is a work horse. I'm curious to see what happens to BCC. I could see a heel turn from Yuta or Danielson too.

Keith Kee needs to get in a title picture asap. He ain't getting any younger.

My guess on the TV/TBS titles is they plan to unify those belts. I think it needs to happen regardless of a TV deal for ROH. Then put the belt on Hobbs and let Wardlow enter the world title picture.

Even if Roh does get a TV deal, they have to many belts and not enough bodies. The same needs to happen with thier trios belt IMO. The "pure" title neede to be reworked. I've seen similar concepts to it several times over the years and never found it compelling.

What do you think happens to Death Triangle? Full heel turn or a break up? I can"t see that ending any other way with the whole "hammer" thing.

They need to turn the PURE championship into a Cruiserweight or Jr. Heavyweight title.

I'd like to see something like the Never Open Weight or the X Division championship. No Weight limit. The Jr. Title in Japan does get a shot at the World Title once a year. But it's kind of an afterthought. The under 205 belts don't seem to last long in the US.
