The Woke Olympics

Do you think Jordan is going to make anything be aired that may put him in a bad light? His media is just as scripted as anything that comes out of the White House. Hell, Ahmad Rashad was the personal media spokesman for Michael Jordan. He has controlled his own narrative for years, so don't just think you are getting the entire story around anything related to Jordan.

Sure, but I don't understand what this has to do with what I'm talking about. It's not a good or bad light to hate scrutiny so much that you retire. It just is.

Preach! Add Simone Manual woke attitude leading up to this Olympics after winning gold in 2016. I think it was the negative people around them. There's too many out there in the the culture who wants to believe whitey probably hated on them because they are in a sport dominated by white America. When you run off at the mouth or go along with that and perfrom subpar then your 15 minutes of fame is up like anyway and all your left with is wokism.

The point is you are suggesting it was just as simple as him feeling fatigued or tired from the media or something of that nature.

I'm suggesting that not only could it be as innocent as that, but I'm also saying that there could be other factors involved that would be more embarrassing and it would not show him in a good light.

It really isn't that hard to understand. You're taking his word based on a biased and scripted program that it was one thing. In actuality, there was a lot of other things going on during that time that could have caused him to retire the first time.

Had to go to the CFL for 6 years because NFL owners and GMs thought black guys weren't smart enough to play QB. In response to Breathe's comment

Well, it's 2021 and Dems don't think black people are smart enough to obtain an ID or use the Internet. Tons of progress in the last 40 years.

So you believe the conspiracy theory that it was a cloaked suspension? I do not. He was tired of the grind. He was tired of the scrutiny. He told people he was considering retirement. Then his Dad was murdered and he retired. I have absolutely no reason to believe anything else was at play. Stern was never gonna suspend MJ, his cash cow. He protected all the other refs (and the NBA) that would have been implicated in the Donaghy gambling scandal, why would he not protect MJ and the NBA in this case? It's a nonsense theory, if you ask me.

Man, there was so much going on then, who really knows why he left. The gambling allegations, his father's death, a contract ploy, marital issues... I don't think you can point to a single thing.
I also think the long 95-96 NBA followed by the 96 Dream Team summer followed by the long 96-97 season took its toll, basically Oct 95 to June 97 without an off-season break.

So listen to you on what you think Jordan thinks over what Jordan says? Oh ok.

Jordan is one of the most manipulative people in sports and/or life ever.

Rarely does he ever say anything from the heart or do something without a reason.

He is an NBA owner and honestly this is probably why he said it….to protect any of his players from future possible harm and yes he is totally wired that way.

Ehh, he also humiliated them by saying he could beat them in 1 on 1.

I'm 50/50 on it. Put it like this, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me, either.

He is wired the exact same way Pete Rose is.
