The Walking Dead

Rick is a great actor IMO. I remember when I saw the pilot he impressed me. Still can't believe his normal voice is a British/English or whatever accent.

I wonder too if the comics have something to do with it. I haven't read them, but if I did my expectations would almost certainly be different.

I also agree with Jerry (scary isn't it?), two episodes could have been condensed into one without losing much. Or possibly do a two hour mid-season premier to catch us up with everyone.

No... The comics have even fewer zombies actually. For instance the herd that swept over the farm didnt happen in the comic.

It's not even about that with me, allow me to channel my inner basketball forum for a moment. It's about pace, they tend to make something that could be covered in 30 minutes take an hour.

Last night's episode took place over two or three issues in the comic.

I don't understand why people get all weird if someone says an episode was boring to them.

It's been one of the worst ones, about as bad as those first couple governor ones this season. I only start watching at the beginning of this season with my girlfriend so had to go back & start from scratch & watch all of them during the season break.

Now that was some painful tv. IMO Season 2 got pretty difficult to watch often.

Because a few episodes were not good? Did you enjoy the first governor episode and all of season 2?

I'm just razzing ya.

There was a good four episode stretch of season 2 that dragged before the mid season break. After that it moved along pretty good.

I did enjoy the both solo Gov episodes. I do think two epidsodes was needed to flesh out his story.

I was pretty bored with this episode. Michonne is still a badazz at least, though her zombie pets would still try and eat her.

I wish Rick would straighten his gun up, its always just dangling loosely pointing at the ground. Lol

Personally I can't believe Rick had those two hairs out of place on his head. I was so mad about it the whole time.

:)
Even with the massive amounts of zombies on film in this episode Jerry still didn't notice it.

Seriously though I don't mind a good character building episode. With an entire half season of the awkward relationship between Rick and Carl, this episode was overdue. Learning about Michonne was even more overdue. I think what probably added to the "boring" perception by some was the lack of dialogue in this episode but I think it still worked personally. Without researching it this was probably the least active episode with regard to speaking in the entire series.

Don't get me wrong for every "boring" episode they have several really really good ones. I actually rewatched all the episodes recently, and 2 wasn't as bad as I remembered. The whole farm, you gotta leave/no let us stay thing got old. But overall it had some solid stuff, and a couple things I hadn't noticed before. I love The Chupacabra episode from season 2.

I thought season 3, minus the season finale was really good. I agree the Gov probably needed 2, the second was far superior than the first IMO.

When I make comments I'm not trying to just bash the show, would be boring in here if we all just agreed.

Justified has spoiled me with it's pace I think. Lol

The gun thing was a joke, though he does hold it funny. You're welcome because now you will notice. Lol

I haven't said in a single post anything about a lack of zombies. It was a pace thing with me, you could have knocked all that out in 30 minutes. Or at least 45 and finished with a lead into a different character/characters. Say Daryl and choir girl doing something, just to set up next week. Sorry if I offended you Mr Kirkman ummm I mean Coug. :)

Btw if next week doesn't have Daryl, the crazy little girl, or Carol I will break some ish. Just sayin. Lol

Lol :)

Daryl and Beth are paired up in next weeks episode. The preview was on Talking Dead. Back to this last episode though I'd like to know who taught Michonne her sword skills. I loved the knife block/sword holder thing too.

Also, just the paranoid viewer coming out in me but do you really think it was Rick and Carl's door Michonne knocked on or could it have been another group members hide out? The camera work they did had hints of a switcheroo.

Uh. Michoone is seen looking in the window at Rick and Carl and crying from, what I assumed, was relief. So ya, I'm fairly certain it was her that was knocking.

Maybe she had some sort of background with it, martial arts or something? Ra's Al Ghul perhaps? :) The knife/sword thing was pretty cool. I actually could have watched a whole episode on her back story.

She looked in and saw them sitting there didn't she? Plus who else would Rick say, its for you to? As they said on Talking Dead her and Carl have a bond. Side note: why would she look for Rick? He hasn't exactly been super friendly to her. He's talked about running her off like 3 different times.

I just watched that scene again. You see someone look in the window on Rick and Carl but you don't know for sure that that someone is Michonne. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's an interesting thought. Guess we'll find out next week.

Lets say you are right, not Daryl or singing girl, not Glenn or Maggie, or the little girls, or Tyrese as we've seen clips of them elsewhere. Definitely not Carol, Rick would not have had that reaction. I haven't seen Bob or Sasha in any previews or sneak peeks so I guess that would be the only 2 choices?

I have a feeling/hope Carol returns, I would guess she meets Ty and they bond before meeting the rest of the group? I mean they hook up in the comics, right?
