The Walking Dead

I understand trying to re-introduce the governor, but this episode kinda makes me feel a bit aggravated. Waited all week to see what happens next an got to see the governor do a few chores for the family.

Nice episode. A few leaps in logic but that is to be expected at this point.

It will be nice to see the writers combine the two stories for a finale.

thought it was hilarious when they fell in the pit.

also, didn't expect to see that guy (or anybody really) from season 3 at the end

So the family didn't have their apt reinforced and didn't know how to kill walkers yet somehow survived all this time? Lol

I liked the idea behind the episode, but man was it slow. They could have covered that in half an episode.

At the beginning when it showed Martinez kill the walker, I thought why is he still hanging around his crazy azz...5 seconds later he bounced. Lol

I thought it was an ok episode, albeit a weird place to put them.

If you've read the Rise of The Governor novel, they took tonight's episode story from it, changing a few things of course. And Lilly is a big time character in the comics, even though she's hardly in them.

So they left a nice strong apartment building to join this group living in tents in the woods. Makes perfect sense.

I don't need too many episodes of this. If there is more than two of these I'm throwing a flag on the season.

Watching Chris read the list of things the governor did while he was sitting next to him on TTD was hilarious! Watching the reaction was funny.

Interesting…..it started out a bit slow, but by the endif the episode, you can see The Governor's character developing and the wheels beginning to turn.

We have thought that TG would be 1 or 2 episodes and done…I have my doubts about that after the writers created sympathy for the character in this episode.

Will TG become a full time main character? Will he be redeemed and enter back into the story line at a later date a season or two down the road? Will he ask to become part of Rick's group? (That would go over like a turd in the punch bowl).

I watched TTD last night and found it interesting.

TG regains his passion for living and protecting his new family. Is he still nuts? Is the little Does he believe that the little girl is Penny? Is his past recreated all over again?

When you think about TG isn't that much different than the other group. What made him so bad exactly, besides the writers wanting him to be bad? Serious question.

I believe it's only supposed to be a 2 episode arc and next week's looks much less development and more action.

It looks like they are basing the TV Governor on the comic Governor mostly, so if you ever get the chance to read The Rise of the Governor, you'll see he actually is a pretty sympathetic character.

I liked it as well. Not sure why he changed his appearance though, he looked much more intimidating and like the comic character with the long hair and beard.

I may have to have a look.

I mean I didn't like TG last season, but last night's episode did breed some sort of sympathy from me for him.

I saw that book at Wal-Mart the other day for cheap and picked it up. I'm almost done with it and it's a great back-story for the character.

In the beginning, when during the voiceover and TG was telling someone about the fall of Woodbury, the woman's voice sounded almost like Carol's. Which is plausible, since I don't think Carol ever saw TG and now that she's been exiled from the prison she could meet him and be none the wiser.

Don't let him fool you. He's just as evil now as he was before. He's still has an itching to take out Michonne and then take out Rick's group.

I thought it was implied he was telling the family?

I think he was talking to the two girls in that family. I did tell my wife that I would not be surprised if Carol found him and got drawn in by him. She did not personally witness any of his worst stuff.
