The Walking Dead

We saw a glimpse of the what is coming with Rick and Carl working as a killing team. It cracked me up to see Rick stop and watch Carl wailing away on the walkers with his weapon. Rick realized, this is my team mate that I am going into battle with.

FYI< TTD was great last night.

Definitely agree about rick and Carl. I liked when Rick just stopped and looked at him too. I also think Hershel came out a lot last night and may be different from now on. He went to read his bible and then just put it down. And then when he was told he was a bad ass the way he smirked and replied "yeah, I am" kind of seemed like he has a new found conidence.

I believe we are not going to be seeing too much of Herschel. There were several emotional moments involving him last night.

He has never gone out on a trip outside of the prison walls. Even though he gets around on his fake leg well, he could not outrun the walkers if in a bad situation.

Darryl called him a baddass and Hershel told him, "Damn right!". Something is about to break.

Something is about to go down. We are nearing the halfway point of the season and they are culling the cast.

Herschel is a dead man, while I think Glenn ends up making it.

It was longer than an hour. He was sick for a couple days before dying.

Was he? Because he looked fine when he was outside with Carl before story time. Then during story time he started get weak and looking really sick, then died shortly after. Everyone else looked on the verge of death for hrs.

Same here.

They've given Herschel a lot of time in this season instead of being just an old guy with a bad leg. Let him be the hero for a while. Herschel helping the sick. Herschel saving kids. Herschel saving Glenn. Herschel saves the day.

Then he's dead.

Eh, it's pretty much a tradition in zombie movies/shows that infections are convenient. If the plot needs them to take a long time, they do; if they need to be immediate, then they are.

That's why they put in throwaway lines like "Everyone is affected differently" as a way to explain it.

I'm guessing the Gov is the one that has been feeding the walkers?

How many people actually died this episode? I counted seven.

Lastly, I wish we had seen the interaction between Daryl and Rick about Carol.

Finally got our money's worth with the show last night!

I agree that Herschel's on the chopping block; I almost expected him to keel over with a heart attack after his ordeal last night.

Loved the scene with Rick and Carl. When that fence came down, both the wife and I muttered "oh s&#$" at the same time

He wasn't even killing any of them at first then they would cut back to Rick and Carl for a minute. When it cut back to Herschel he seemed to be less concerned about the walkers so I kept wondering what happened to them.

I wonder what happened to the Governor's two buddies.

The Talking Dead showed a special sneak preview of next weeks episode and in that preview there were 3 tents set up side by side and the governor was sitting in a chair in front of a fire when a female walker comes up, trips and falls in the fire and catches then starts crawling towards him. I'm guessing they're still there.

Story time was in the daytime, I distinctly remember the sun being out. Patrick didn't die until later that night after everyone was asleep. Also, Herschel was giving all of them Elderberry tea.

That episode was mostly slow until they busted out the assault rifles. My argument is why didn't they do that BEFORE the fence collapsed?

But wasn't the person feeding the walkers on the inside part of the prison? Whoever it was was feeding them through the fence.

Yes, they were. It's probably a governor loyalist inside the prison. The question is whether or not they were one of the ones that died from the flu or if they are still alive.

I still haven't figured out Lizzie. She's a freak and I'm starting to think it's more than just her being a confused, scared kid. Who sticks their shoe into a mucusy bloody pool and plays around with it?

That one chic that turned to a zombie in the cell next to sasha was nice enough to wait a while for her to wake up after passing out on the floor and have Herschel tend to her before chomping on anyone.

So the zombies are becoming more courteous, maybe that can be the spin off "The Evolution of a Zombie"
